They are character shoes, which are designed to be comfortable for dancing (I actually prefer to wear them even for everyday over heels). That said, I have never attempted tap in them.

That’s Melinda Sullivan who also choreographed the dance. She has her own channel where you can watch her perfectness any time you need to.

Mother called it " a Black velvet rasp", and HE'S SO GOT IT. Amazing, group of talent!

The sheer competence of the whole band is amazing; the whole mood and atmosphere of this performance really shows you why there's a "swing" in swing jazz, as it literally fills like the listener is being swung all around.

How is there not a comment about the tap dancer on the right continuing without missing a beat ON WET FLOOR!?!? Holy smokes - she even slips a tad at one point, and then proceeds to do her solo immediately after.....I can't even walk on wet floor without slipping!!! That was amazing!!

This man's voice is pure concentrated bliss to listen to. I rarely like male singers but Casey Abrams has it. Beautiful voice. The dancers, Sarah and Melinda, the band, this is *pure* premium class quality.

It's like Tarzan, Tinklebell and White Snow found a epic group of musicians and made this master piece. Love it! 😄

I love Casey's bobbing throughout the song! I can't remember when I last saw someone have so much genuine fun singing.His love for music seeps through every pore of his being! Great stuff! I've watched this approx. 7 times today!

Casey always seems to be having such a ridiculous amount of FUN on PMJ songs. It's like, everything is so carefully conceived, arranged and practiced and then he comes along like a giant fuzzball of chaos and wraps the whole thing in a perfect bow with his voice.

Coming back to this video in 2023 and remembering how I couldn't stop smiling the whole time watching it when it first came out. One of my favorite PMJ renditions!

The tap dancers are absolutely mesmerizing! I keep watching again and again trying to figure out how they are able to dance so fluidly in these heels and still, at the same time, have such expressive faces. This is a kind of coordination that I uber jealous of. Keep it up!

I have loved Casey Abrams since his appearance on American Idol.. dude had personality and could sing anything! So glad he found his nitche here with Postmodern Jukebox. I never appreciated the true art of tap dancing until I've seen it done on PMJ and it's crazy lol

The one thing I have learnt from watching the back catalogue of PMJ is that the difference between a bad song and a good song can just be the style and singer. I detest the original version by Rihanna but this is something I would happily listen to frequently.

I feel the same about "Royals". Was never into the original by Lordes. But I absolutely love the Postmodern Jukebox version with Puddles the Sadfaced Clown.

Still my favorite PMJ song. The energy is just wonderful.

He comes across as so much more interesting and genuine with that mop of hair and fuzzy beard than he ever did when he was all cleaned up for American Idol.

I just found this group... wow! I love the way they're introducing people to different genres of music through interpretations of modern, popular music.

Always love Casey's performances. He has a great voice. In addition, he is an amazing show man. Keep it up, Casey.
