el final de Depeche Mode (cabezas de cartel ese día) coincidía con el principio del de Bad Religion. Al principio se ve MUY vacío de gente, es verdad, pero luego se va llenado,. Aun así, el Primavera Sound es jodidamente caro; yo vi por enesima vez a Bad Religion en la gira de los 40 años en 2022, en el Wizink y ni mi plantee pagar por verles otra vez en el Primavera Sound: muy muy muy caro. Y como yo, mucha peña.

de hecho es bastante fácil de explicar: es una banda de punk tocando en un festival enfocado en música popular, por ende, los tickets son absurdamente caros, al punto que excluye al target de Bad Religion, lo que se traduce en una pobre asistencia.

I saw them in 1996 at the Riviera theater in Chicago and as soon as they started playing the whole place just erupted. I’ve never seen a mosh pit like that before. It was insane. Good times!

What's embarrassing is these dudes trying to act like they are still relevant. The drummer here can't even keep a steady beat. The guitarists that matter don't even play with them. The ones that are playing with them have no soul or energy, they were too worried about their glam rock outfits to bother with practicing. There is no connection between the audience and the band, hell there's no connection between the band members themselves.

The problem is this cringy-low-quality festival which clearly is not the right target for BR . Try to make damn Lady GAGA sing in a punk rock warped tour fest and you'll get 20 people at your best. Not to mention that these people in the crowd looks like they are dead or smth. Ive attended some BR shows along the years and they sold out huge shows. Here in Chile we just sold out 2 nights . People went crazy.

I love these guys but they should’ve fired their sound engineer years ago. Greg’s mic sounds like he has a cold, backing vocals are inaudible. I mean, Brian must feel like an ass. Trying to sing at the top of your game every show and then watch footage and see your mic is hardly in the mix. And what’s this incredible slow version of Generator? (and no I don’t mean the intro, I get that’s the festival version)

first thing, the live mix is not the same as the one for the streaming. secondly, they don't always have the same engineer. also, if you can't hear Brian vocals you probably need to clean your ears or get better speakers.

You’re not hearing Brian, that’s Jamie the drummer. And I’ve been going to Bad Religion shows for 20 years now. It’s the same guy every show. Unless they replaced him a year ago.

@@GeekGalore I am a live sound engineer for a living, I've workied with Bad Religion a few times and no, it's not always the same guy doing FOH. Also, this is recorded on multitrack using a separate desk and then mixed in the studio. You have no idea what you're talking about.

So sad... This guys sold out venues and played upfront thousands people but primavera is not a festival for the people who loves music but for posers. That's why I stopped going at the fest after more than 10 years going in a row. Nowadays there are better festivals in Barcelona like AMFest. Check it out!

Más que por la entrada cara, a decir verdad ni el tipo de festival ni el horario les favoreció, al empalmarlos con Kendrick Lamar y ser de las únicas bandas de ese estilo en todo el día, realmente era de esperarse que por desgracia no tuvieran mucho público

el final de Depeche Mode (cabezas de cartel ese día) coincidía con el principio del de Bad Religion. Al principio se ve MUY vacío de gente, es verdad, pero luego se va llenado,. Aun así, el Primavera Sound es jodidamente caro; yo vi por enesima vez a Bad Religion en la gira de los 40 años en 2022, en el Wizink y ni mi plantee pagar por verles otra vez en el Primavera Sound: muy muy muy caro. Y como yo, mucha peña.

de hecho es bastante fácil de explicar: es una banda de punk tocando en un festival enfocado en música popular, por ende, los tickets son absurdamente caros, al punto que excluye al target de Bad Religion, lo que se traduce en una pobre asistencia.

I saw them in 1996 at the Riviera theater in Chicago and as soon as they started playing the whole place just erupted. I’ve never seen a mosh pit like that before. It was insane. Good times!

mine was 90 or 91 in Tijuana. No security of any kind. Some kid jumped from the balcony (it was a low one) and everyone survived.

What's embarrassing is these dudes trying to act like they are still relevant. The drummer here can't even keep a steady beat. The guitarists that matter don't even play with them. The ones that are playing with them have no soul or energy, they were too worried about their glam rock outfits to bother with practicing. There is no connection between the audience and the band, hell there's no connection between the band members themselves.

And the band members maybe have more time in band than you have in life. Baker joined in 1995, the drummer that is the newest got 8 years on board

The problem is this cringy-low-quality festival which clearly is not the right target for BR . Try to make damn Lady GAGA sing in a punk rock warped tour fest and you'll get 20 people at your best. Not to mention that these people in the crowd looks like they are dead or smth. Ive attended some BR shows along the years and they sold out huge shows. Here in Chile we just sold out 2 nights . People went crazy.
Hope we get a new record soon.

OMG, where is everybody? That's only a couple hundred people as an audience! Most of them nod their heads or tap their feet, that's all the action the band gets. The band rocks as usual, but they deserve a better crowd!

I love these guys but they should’ve fired their sound engineer years ago. Greg’s mic sounds like he has a cold, backing vocals are inaudible. I mean, Brian must feel like an ass. Trying to sing at the top of your game every show and then watch footage and see your mic is hardly in the mix. And what’s this incredible slow version of Generator? (and no I don’t mean the intro, I get that’s the festival version)

first thing, the live mix is not the same as the one for the streaming. secondly, they don't always have the same engineer. also, if you can't hear Brian vocals you probably need to clean your ears or get better speakers.

@@gimmigimmigimmi that used to the case for a lot festivals back in the day but due to costs a lot of live streams just plug the soundboard audio through. You’re not hearing Brian, that’s Jamie the drummer. And I’ve been going to Bad Religion shows for 20 years now. It’s the same guy every show. Unless they replaced him a year ago.

@@GeekGalore I am a live sound engineer for a living, I've workied with Bad Religion a few times and no, it's not always the same guy doing FOH. Also, this is recorded on multitrack using a separate desk and then mixed in the studio. You have no idea what you're talking about.

@@gimmigimmigimmi Then this is the worst mixing job I’ve ever heard 😂 just horrendous. Their own sound guy is still shit though. I remember they had to delay their live DVD and had to add more in overdubs because the recording wasn’t up to par.

@@gimmigimmigimmi i just checked Punk Rock Song from this video and compared it to 2 audience videos from the same show. So yeah, Jay’s singing part is was too low in the mix in all 3 videos. Pretty much identical. So no, this wasn’t mixed afterwards. It’s pretty much soundboard audio.

El sonidista se fue antes del recital parece, el publico carton pintado ni un pogo hubo, la banda genial pero cambien al puto sonidista. Los esperamos en Argentina si me alcanza para la entrada 55 dolares campo!! se les fue la mano muchachos, seamos buenos.

So sad... This guys sold out venues and played upfront thousands people but primavera is not a festival for the people who loves music but for posers. That's why I stopped going at the fest after more than 10 years going in a row. Nowadays there are better festivals in Barcelona like AMFest. Check it out!
