Well Scotty, one thing's for sure, driving in snow is definitely not for the faint hearted and inexperienced. One particular video demonstrated that. What a siguae you had in this episode, a ranger danger with terrible parking and then a ranger as sbtf! Got TISM involved with sbtf. Two Reggie's red light runners in one clip! Well done to the dc guy who captured that one. Two separate clips with people on their phones while driving, seriously! One of them surely would've been worthy of a dumb-arse award. Couple of nice classic cars at the end there. One being a nice red Ferrari, the other which was even better which was a Holden Torana SS A9X hatchback. Genuine Bathurst contenders they were. Pretty sure they got back to back wins in 1978 and 1979. Road going cars like the one featured are worth millions. Great job scotty on featuring that one. Hope to see more torana's like that feature in future episodes. Two dogs on the back of a motorbike and a Kermit the frog puppet strapped to the front of what appeared to be an old removalist truck. Both got me chuckling. Go Scotts car cameras and go the mighty Matilda's!

I just don't get it why people go drive to work by taking huge risks in the snow when they should just stay at home. I wouldn't even want to get my car damaged by trying to go to work in the snow at all - I'd phone in and have the day off as it be too dangerous

Some people don't have a choice. I live in Montana, where snow is a given, work or no work. (Before I retired, I was a Letter Carrier (a "Postie" if you will) for the US Postal Service. I not only had to drive in snow, (ten miles a day) I had to walk in it (5 miles a day, with snow up to my thighs at times! Oh, yes: Uphill, both ways! Get off my lawn!)

8:40 I'm so grateful not to have to do that intersection every day anymore. Don't even need that Bunnings anymore either. It doesn't surprise me that Haberfield/ Leichhardt features so heavily as well.

That first video. Just goes to show you need to be paying attention the whole time. That glance away for a second or two can have bad out comes.

Dude in the snow reporting in here. I have a Seltos AWD, and despite this I had two ass puckering moments where I was in full out of control ABS braking mode including the accident scene. The shuddering was the ABS brakes trying to stop me. Last scene with the Snow plow was another slow mo black ice incident, I had just passed 5 other cars who has skidded out of control and then holding up the plow as they sorted themselves out, pity you didn't see that bit. Nobody had chains on. All this happened on the Snowy Mountains highway near Selwyn Snow resort 8th of July.

0:19 The driver of the red car fails to see a road-coloured car that would be partially blocked by his A-pillar. The road-coloured car could have stuck to the right lane during the turn. I would have done that since traffic was in the slip lane. 9:46 not much lane filtering this episode 11:23 a biker doing something that used to be illegal but now is legal discovers a car driver doing something that used to be legal but now is illegal. At least he didn't rev his engine or clap.

@@ScottsCarcameras there's no reason why both cars can't enter each lane respectively. The give-way for the left turning red car should effectively be for straight through traffic only, and the road markings should reflect this clearly to the right turning grey car with broken lines in the intersection guiding them to stay in their lane. We have a long way to go to clean up the mess that is our roads with ever-increasing traffic and large towns growing into small cities, and to do that we need more focus on dedicated and mixed turning lanes, as well as a shift from "keep left unless passing" to "fast and slow lanes"

Hi, that's a negative. There are multiple reasons why both cars Don't enter at the same time. The first Most obviously that is illegal, as that's not what the road rules are. The road markings are perfectly clear. The red car coming out of the slip road has a give way sign and lines. They have a slip road in place rather than that that traffic from there having to turn left at the traffic lights. That allows them to go left and proceed when the traffic is clear. That increases traffic flow already, but The red car must give way to the Car that they hit, they would also have to give way to traffic coming from the other directions. So trying to have them go at once as a moot point , . To your next point, there is no "their lane "when you have a single turning lane into a multiple lane Rd. You can turn into any lane of your choice. That combined with the give way rules are the fundamental structure of how our road rules function . Intersections are the point where traffic from different directions meet the most and which has a higher statistical and amount of accidents and proabilty of a crash therefore limiting the amount of interactions between multiple directions of traffic at the same time reduces accidents and increases traffic flow. many studies and trials on this and that is why they use the system that they do. So no, mixing lanes really causes more problems slows traffic down by indecision and cutting across lanes and mixing turning lanes is a extremely bad idea and that's why it is not done . Our system is very good. It just requires a human to actually understand and obey its parameters. When they don't, the result is what happens in the video.

Hi Alison no , you have misunderstood , the driver had a green light proceded into the intersection ( as you are meant to ) and waited for a clear gap to turn , the way it works is if the lights turns yellow or red the Dc drvier waits until its safe and then goes so they did it all correct :)

Cant say much about parking tbh. They make them short and skinny and expect bigger cars fit in them

Car drivers are thick enough, without adding snow to the mix

Anyone else think that push bike riders should adhere to what other unregistered vehicles have to eg. dirt bikes etc and stay off the dam roads and keep it to tracks and trails, sick of seeing the entitled mf lane splitting down the middle and not even keeping to the left of the left lane or running reds and the many other numerous things they do, insurance doesn't even cover damages they do either

Bennyd, bicycles are legal vehicle. Get over it. As seen in this very video, many drivers run red lights putting other road users as extreme risk. If a cyclist runs a red they are the one who is at extreme risk if a collision. Re insurance, many cyclists have it via specific policies or under house contents policy. The rest ‘self-insure’ - paying for any 3rd party property damage from their own pocket.

So happy the world has that experimental product to off most of these fools and many many many more...
