I have never understood why each country doesn't look after the older citizens. Nearly everything I buy has made in China on it. Toothpaste, Canned Salmon. Water taps, Panasonic Microwave, just a few to mention. The U.K. has certainly been gutted of manufacturers.

The Taiwanese are not stupid, they will be carefully observing the situation in Ukraine and will no doubt appreciate that they are being set up as a proxy against China. They may just take the money and then fold when the time comes, remember the duplicitous actions of their leaders in the 1940s when they sold US supllied weapons and vehicles to Japan!

Is blinken going there as a jew?, as an American? or as a Chinese?

My understanding from watching the broadcast “Jerry’s take on China” earlier today is that Blinken’s trip to China is actually requested by China. Jerry is an Australian living in China. The 3 guests on this particular broadcast include a highly regarded China observer from Australia, another from Malaysia and one native Chinese analyst/intellectual. The speculation is that China has specific messages (stern push-back in light of the recent actions from the US) for the US government. Of course, the fact that this meeting is requested by China (if true) does not preclude Blinkens from lecturing China and making absurd demand. Insanity run wild in the US government!

American foreign policy. Major power? Sanctions! Minor power? Invade or bomb. Diplomacy seems to have been forgotten🤷🏻‍♂️

If the US is not at war with any of these countries, what has it got to do with them who anyone trades with?!?

Russia can help China with valuable information on how to sanction proof an economy.

China don't need to sanction foreign companies. See what happened to Russia! They will sanction them self. The only things that China need to do is don't let the foreign companies take their profits out of the country. They need to reinvesting it.
