And then they do the dumbest mods to them and wrap them in some of the dumbest stuff like on the 4th I seen some old dude have his wrapped in a black and white American flag with a blue line like it’s flag defamation day or something.

I like the idea of the Slingshot. They look like a ton of fun. However, the biggest downside of the Slingshot is that it's impossible to not look like a complete twat when you're driving one.

Fun fact: almost all of the Polaris slingshot to date are sold in US, because countries outside does not accept this to be a "motorcycle "😂

I'm sure at least in the UK you can operate a 3 wheeled vehicle under a motorcycle license. Not sure about other countries in Europe though

I rented one for a week in key West, it is an absolute riot, don't forget your sunscreen

I work at an insurance company. We launched a new motorcycle product with a big sponsorship at a motorcycle rally and the exec responsible thought one of these would be a great look for him in the parade since he didn’t ride. It was not.

This and the Can-Am. All of the danger of a motorcycle with none of the maneuverability!

This comment is the dislike button for this opinion. The slingshot is for bloated old dudes that look like Guy Feiri…unironically. It’s a step above the trike-bikes Harley guys ride when they naturally lose their balance, but a step below everything else.

I work at a mainly Polaris dealer and they are Insanely overpriced for what they are. A top of the line model will cost you 40K+

The slingshot is just an infinitely worse version of the T-Rex

It's cool...but Polaris absolutely sucks with "Certified Mechanics". Will never own a Polaris again, even if someone hands me the keys.

Got a bunch of these tricycles in my town, they attach giant speakers and blast music like a rolling jukebox. Oh, and the neon lights, neon everywhere!

These are an absolute blast to drive, but a nightmare to own

Slingshots are not good for the price they are. Almost $22k starting price for something that can't be driven year round in most places and takes up more space than a motorcycle. Also, in the case of the early model years 15-19, they had leftover chevy cobalt motors.

The cobalt motors are fine. Ecotech motors are a good platform for modding. The slingshot is a blast and is actually really capable when it has 4 wheels. The only reason it's 3 instead is of 4 is to classify as an autocycle since the US doesn't have a classification for lightweight open top cars like the xbow.

The traffic police in my country took a year to decide if it was a car or bike 😂

The slingshot is like the mustang. Special people drive them, making both uncool

I see a few of these in my area, and I think they're pretty cool and don't scream "I'm a rich douchebag" either even though it's probably people's 4th or 5th vehicle.

Hang around South Beach in Miami on a Saturday night, and let me know if you still think these things are cool.

When the Chrysler 300 came out it resembled a Bentley. I feel that is why is sold. The Polaris is the Chrysler and the TREX is the Bentley. Not my cup of Tea. Also I wouldn't want to be strapped in it when I get run over by an Escalade

They probably don't need a bigger rear wheel, but these would look so much cooler if that rear wheel was twice the diameter and twice the width.

I like the slingshot and how it looks. I've always wanted one and wanted to do a vtec swap or an sr20 swap to one since it's already a 4 cylinder.
