I know why the parishioners left the that church he sound like he would put anybody to sleep. And I just cannot imagine what he was preaching about. If he does not have $100 to come eulogize a funeral. typically people do not get paid until after their services. And he did not have $50 to even make the trip. In order for a defamation suit to prevail, it's not enough for the statements about the claimant to be negative, embarrassing, or damaging to his reputation. He must also prove that the statement was false. If the lady publicly posted that she gave him money for a service that he didn't deliver, then she didn't spread any falsehoods about him. He freely admitted to the very thing she accused him of. Therefore, he has no case for defamation.
