    Great video buddy. I too learned something on swinging those ramps out. Can’t BELIEVE I never thought of that before! I would however use a boxed in wrench instead of that big ass knuckle buster you have there. Again, thanks for sharing. 👍

    Delivered a nice even cut, has the super tight turning ability kzread.infoUgkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3LkN also recommend I was looking for, and is just a blast to drive. It takes a little bit to get used to driving one after driving a normal tractor style, but once you've got it, you've got it. If you're cutting lines, you have to be careful spinning the mower around or the back tire will dig a bare spot. Just take it nice and slow during the turn and then it's back to full throttle across the yard!

    Great video. Good to see you again. You are the one who cause me to pull the trigger on my bad boy a couple years ago. I have a Magnum with 54” deck and couldn’t be happier. I am mowing similar country pastureland like you showed previously and about to replace my blades. We have 2.5 acres here in north Texas and the blades have been abused here too. I have a lift for my bad boy and only concern I have is it rocking on its back when I start bearing down on those nuts. Maybe an impact wrench is in my future I don’t know, have I been a good boy? Haha. Thanks again for your videos. I like your style- down to earth. I feel we could sit down and have a drink of coffee or fish together if we ever met. All the best to you on the south coast from north Texas here.

    I noticed how amazingly clean your deck is - any advice on how you keep it so clean? Powerwash after each mow? Also, I changed my bolts out on the last blade change - GR8 integrity can be affected if any nicks. Love these blades - just ordered a set. Learned a couple lessons on the lifts - now I turn mine outside too for more room and safety (I kept straight before and chocked). Learn something new every day. Love your videos man.

    Thank you for the comment! I really appreciate you taking the time to ask some questions. I try not to cut when the grass is super wet, which keeps from getting a lot of build up under the deck. I will also periodically scrape the under side of the deck with a paint scraper or putty knife. Then maybe once very month or so I will hose everything down. Nothing too crazy.

    Great video and thank you for taking the time to share. How good is the cut? Do the blades pull the grass up and trim it well? I did replace my blades on my Bad Boy a few weeks ago, and from memory the torque setting on the blade retainer bolts is around 100 ft/lb. The blades are the same shape with the serrated edge and the cut is pretty good. I would recommend using a socket set and breaker bar for undoing the bolts, but you obviously have a good handle on what you were doing.

    Going to change my blades for the first time on my BB 54", the board you use to block/brace the blade while removing/installing - Is there a recommended length for it to be?

  • @south_coast

    @south_coast

    11 ай бұрын

    No real particular length really. I just had this block laying around and it was long enough to block the blade path while it was still sitting on the ground. If it isn''t long enough you will have to hold the block in place until you get the blade bound up against it, so it can be a little more difficult. So in short...just get a block long enough to rest on the ground and still bind up the blade.

    Those copper heads do not fit the badboy properly! I have had too many customers buy them and they click together at the ends. This will ruin your spindles, Bearings, and possibly your deck! Don't buy them! Bad Boy has a hardened front edge as well, this keeps them sharp longer. It will cost you more in the long run, running the wrong blades.
