Jaymay (generally, now I love several of their songs), Haunt (Love Song), Museum of Flight by Damien Jurado (one of my favourites), Let Your Heart Fold Fast by the Fort Atlantic (also one of my favourites), Rivers and Roads by The Head and the Heart (and thanks to that I've checked out several of this band's cool songs), "Our House", Waiting for an Invitation by Benji Hughes (love it so much too), generally the band Goldspot and also of course "The Solids" (actually they are really talented), Victoria by the Kinks, Simple Song by the Shins and if I was to say the best one I would say the band "The 88". I didn't know them and now I love many of their songs. There are still a bit more but heck, I'm not going to write a book so!

Listen to the lyrics... It's really reflects the story of himym. If it's the "moved to Japan", "started a band" or the "you found a guy who's clearly the opposite me" part... Breaks my heart

It was such an emotional show and that's why we're all so attached to it. I've never watched a show where I still, when listening to song years after it ended, get truly sad and just don't know how to handle the fact that it's all over.

It certainly has the greatest dichotomy between lyric and sound of any song I've ever heard. No other tune can make you whistle along cheerfully with such depressing lyrics.

As for the hipster part, I don't mind if a band becomes bigger and receives more fans; I hate it when they become fan girls and start "worshiping" said bands everyday. Again HIMYM ends with a super addictive song...

I remember finding this song from HIMYM and I'd just broken up with my ex. The feels. I made it it in my mind to be about her and her new guy. But now all I do is miss Ted. Embodiment of what a man can go through. This song is up there with Sweet Child O' mine and Wild Wild World on the list of songs I'm overly emotional about for no explainable reason.

one of the best episodes of how i met your mother :D best tv show ever it make me cry a laught a lot :´)

Songs in HIMYM all make me feel nostalgic even while hearing the songs for the first time. It's as if the first time I heard them play, I already knew I'm going to miss something even though the moment hadn't even passed yet at that time.
