Anyone else notice that batcher is sorta becoming crosshair's dog? She seems to be hanging around him a lot... Like the trope where the dad doesn't want pets, then quickly becomes best friends with them.

Also if you think about it, Batcher makes a fantastic spotter for a sniper like Crosshair. While Batcher can't exactly call out targets, nobody is sneaking up on Crosshair with him around.

A giant monster being used as a metaphor for a conflict between two characters is something you don't see everyday and I can only say to Wrecker, why is there always a monster? Because it's cool.

I’m glad Hunter and Crosshair got what was on their chest off. Their bond is gonna be stronger now. I also thought the quip with Omega calling Crosshair the little brother was funny. He even found it humorous. All signs are pointing to Mt Tantiss for the clone uprising. I’m ready for it.

I remember back in the clone wars crosshair actually was quite jokey and sarcastic. It’s nice to see that side of him coming back.

The bird is definitely a metaphor for Crosshair's advancement. Circling represented his past, his "stuck" and gradually dying nature under the Empire. Perched represented that he was at a crossroads, direction could be anything. Flying away represented Crosshair's escape from his past and the ability to move forward. The return of his armor was also a metaphor. "Didn't seem right to get rid of it" meant the old Crosshair was still around, just locked away. "It still fits" showed that he would be able to slip back into his old nature. Tugging at the collar showed that the time in between left a lasting discomfort. I do like the idea of the vulture as a metaphor for Mayday, though.

Omega really looks older and more mature with her new hairstyle, really enjoying the look, her and crosshair bond they share now is really nice. And having him remembering his fallen brothers was a great moment to show his regret for his actions

That conversation between Hunter and Crosshairs in the end was them finally reconciling. That's probably as close to a heart to heart as they'll ever have.

I died when Kyle and Bendu are waxing poetic about Hunter and Crossahairs argument and Kyle screams "oh f%ck"". Totally was waiting for a reaction. 🤣

The bird when they arrive is circling around the way the vultures were doing the first time Crosshair arrived at that planet. I feel it was a reminder for him of how everything went down when he was there and lost Mayday. The last time we see the bird it is flying away and it felt like it was representing hope as Hunter told Crosshair that there may still be hope for them.

Cross hair is by far the most fleshed out character of the squad. He has evolved more so than any other character other than omega. Yet he still maintains his severe and unyielding character as tech described him. He is showing small cracks in his amor that only omega can make. So far I'm enjoying every episode. It's by far my favorite Star Wars animated series next to clone wars of course. I'm already. sadden by this being the last season. As wrecker would say "What else you got. Give me more!!!"

Another absolute BANGER. Star Wars animation is fully in a golden age right now and I am so f**¥ing here for it

They know what Sector that Tantiss is in, from the data they got from the abandoned lab where the young clone troopers are rescued. Omega and Crosshair have a good idea of how long the damaged ship they escaped in was in hyperspace, and they know what world they crash landed on. Whatever information they get off of Nala Se's datapad, they should be able to narrow down where Tantiss is to a couple dozen possible worlds, maybe even single digits.

man, i loved this ep so much, not only did we get the gang back together, we also went to that snow planet that had such a huge impact on crosshare's perspective about loyalty in the empire which ultimately became his driver for his betrayal, so good

I'm slowly coming to the understanding that the clone rebellion we are expecting is going to be the destruction of Tantis and the emperors plans there. Before I was expecting the Imps to beat it down but if the endgoal is to get the clones out of there then the "rebellion" might not fail, even if the batch doesnt make it out

I personally think one of the driving points of the season will be rekindling the relationship of Crosshair and the Batch... and I feel like when Crosshair does change and become a full time member of the Batch again, he's going to make a sacrifice at the end of the season to save the clones that he said he never would've gone back for....a very tragic ending but a possible one

The ice creature reminded me of the creature from the very first episode of The Mandalorian. The one that almost dragged down Mando's ship while he was trying to get away with his bounty. Similar creature/planet maybe?

It's insanely funny how many Dune references I have heard from reactors after watching this episode. And rightfully so!

The bird was an ice vulture, they were heavily featured in the episode with Mayday, where they symbolized the Empire's disregard for the clone's lives. Their appearance in this episode is about Crosshair remembering Mayday and the events that drove him to turn.

There is 15 episodes for this season not sure why when the first 2 seasons were 16. Did you guys notice how Crosshair and Batcher have become one like a team. It started in the last episode when Batcher was licking his face as they were escaping Tantiss. Jennifer Colbert and Brad Rau are like Filoni when he learned from George because they're the show runners now.

I remember that mission was such a pain

tbh Crosshair was never really bad. After his inhibitor chip was destroyed, he became less murderous. Sure, he stuck with the Empire of his own free will, but it was more because Crosshair's the most aligned with the idea of "falling in line" and "supporting the system" out of the entire Batch. Without the chip though, he no longer sought to kill the Batch, he just wanted to bring them back to what he believed was the winning side, the side which won't lead to death. In the episode with Cody, Crosshair killed the Separatist leader so that Cody won't be punished by the Imperial governor for refusing orders. Crosshair may have chosen to be Imperial, but he had always sided with his fellow clones, Bad Batch or not.

I'm predicting Omega and Wrecker make it out the series alive. Crosshair and Hunter have heroic sacrifice written all over them.

I'm glad crosshair is back. I missed the Raphael and Leonardo dynamic he had with Hunter

I thought of this after the fact but someone said crosshair has PTSD and now I think batcher is becoming his service dog to help calm him down, after watching again she is right by his side the whole show, even coming to help when he was worried that Hunter fell in the ice

@@Hellscream420 That's a really nice theory/idea, and I agree it makes sense that Crosshair would be the one of the group most likely to have a relationship like this with Batcher. While the other teammates would still like having Batcher around as team pet, Crosshair has always been the most reserved and hesitant to share his thoughts and feelings with people and with Batcher there is no need to articulate anything. Being able to have someone/something just be there for you means a lot even when it's wordless.

That bird was introduced in the Mayday episode as an ice… vulture, I believe. It circles overhead when it senses death is near. At the end of this ep, the bird was seen flying away. I believe it signifies that Crosshair has let go of his emotional baggage (to some extent) and is no longer close to death. You can say that this is Crosshair's "I choose to live" moment which Ahsoka had in the World Between Worlds.

It's definitely an ice vulture and in the episode of 'The Outpost' it appears in the credits that it is also voiced by Dee Bradley Baker.

I still rewatch this episode because of how well written it was. The fact that Hunter saw Crosshair organizing the helmets was VERY important considering he wasn't exactly to keen on Crosshair just coming back like he did. He thought there was a reason, and seeing Crosshair stack those helmets, made him realize that Crosshair had a real reason to betray the Empire, he just wanted to hear it from Crosshairs mouth, rather than just assuming

10:37 Mayday... is sad

I’m 8 hours late but who the hell cares!? This episode really brings crosshairs arc full circle since he attempted to bring Mayday down the hill for some medical attention but the Nolan stuff happened. Alas, he buried the helmets of his fellow clones on the snow for closure. The vulture flying away and the two brothers settling their feud over the course of the episode made me love him even more. Also, the snow worm reminded me much of Jedi academy’s sand burrow in that one mission.

It is a vulture. It's the same Ice Vulture from Season 2 Episode 12. We last saw it circling in that episode. In this episode we first see it circling, then standing still on the ground, and finally flying away in a new direction. Just like Crosshair.

So many movie references this season, especially from the Jurassic Park franchise.

We didn't really see the fall, or what was underneath. He could have used any of his many gadgets to avoid taking any mortal damage. We have seen many character falls and nothing happened to them. In fact we have seen more improbable things (clones exploding) and they have been able to survive. Tech definitely could have survived too.

Something I noticed, someone put Mayday’s helmet with his mens. I wonder if one of the Stormtroopers did it. Like one that grew up seeing clones as heroes.

Almost forgot, the last few reactions have had the timestamps off for where things begin/end.

I sense a major sacrifice in the finale

I gave this a 7 out of 10 now realize that’s too low. Cause of how the others were paced. But realized this episode helped bring Crosshair back and closure of the depot. I agree with Bendu’s symbolism with the bird however using my symbolism with Morai. I really enjoyed this episode. Another episode for the group to bond and runite.

Didn't Crosshair say they would need to ditch that ship soon because The Empire could track it towards the end of the last episode? I'm surprised they're still using it.

The only evidence (From a voice actors perspective) I can think of that Tech is unfortunately really gone is they introduced Batcher so Dee Baker can still get paid for the same amount of characters. LMAO. jk. Loved seeing Crosshair open up.

Maybe because not everything is made for everyone… Some people like what you call garbage, and some people may find what you enjoy garbage.. I agree that some of Disney’s Star Wars projects are bad, but I can see why others may enjoy them

Love this show and love you guys. Great insight and reflection. Star Wars, especially Filoni and his animated TV shows really dives into how complicated human beings are and given enough time with them we can come to, if not forgive, at least understand them as complicated characters with long story arcs. TV at it's best. Love the Bad Batch and the journey Filoni has been on to get here.
