one of the highlights of the finale for me was the ISD showing up - this is the earliest we've seen them, and I guess this is the first ISD constructed, or at least one of them? Surely Tarkin would call dibs on one of the first ones off the assembly line.

What a cool finale, I really enjoyed it. I do wish they would have had Omega and Wrecker get a moment in the ending, let Rex show up, and give us more answers for Project Necromancer. Also wish they would do more with Clone X Troopers, I’m glad they didn’t have they be anyone, but they should have given all of them more screen time. But it was cool to see the ending, and it seems like they all got a fairly happy ending, which I appreciate.

The way I’m personally taking it, until or unless we find out otherwise, “The Rebellion needs pilots, now more than ever,” sounds like the Rebellion has been around long enough to establish itself, but is in dire straights, specifically in their starfighter corps. The earliest candidate that comes to my mind is post-Battles of Scarif and Yavin, in 0 ABY. It’s a bit of a fudge, making Omega at least 30-ish, but I can accept that (until or unless we hear otherwise!)

I couldn't believe it, they pulled a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3! All the main heroes lived! Incredible! I would have never thought that would happen because it being the Dark Times in the Galaxy, but no, they gave us the good ending, and it was a very satisfying Finale. Got another long comment because I'm commenting on every chapter in the video... Cid: No body, no death. She could be injured, she could even have been taken prisoner at some point, but there's a chance she is still out there. Phee: If she's anything like Hondo, she'll live way longer than any pirate honestly should be able to survive, but hey, it's cool, I like her, and I'd love to see her interact with Hondo one day. Ventress: I like the fan theory that she and Quinlan reunited and have started The Path to get Force Sensitives to safety. She can still be a Bounty Hunter to do that, too, because that would be her cover story, that's how she can act unseen. Quinlan is also well known for being undercover, so the two of them could definitely pull it off, now we just need confirmation of what they're doing in the Galaxy. Rex: Super surprised not to see him in the Finale. Since they mentioned he and Chuchi were still working underground, there are hints that could be the next series or some other "Tales of" series will explore what happens next. Ultimately I think he and a number of Clones do eventually retire on Seelos until only Rex, Wolffe, and Gregor remain. Hunting Joopa can be dangerous, it's a freaking desert world, everyone's lucky to be alive even at age 60 biologically. Nala Se and Rampart: My absolute favorite part of the episode. Nala Se is not really a good person, but she really has come around after the rise of the Empire. Seeing her shot and die was not satisfying, but it felt right, and because she had the dead man's switch on the thermal detonator killing Rampart and the destroying the data, that's when it became really satisfying. What a great way to end their parts in the story. Project Necromancer: Ultimately it all moves to Exegol, and any remnants of off site research finds its way to folks working in the sciences like we see in The Mandalorian after the Emperor is killed in Return of the Jedi. We never got direct confirmation on what it is, but if you know, you know. Dr. Scalder: Since she wasn't the chief scientist, but really more of a cog in the machine, she was more just fulfilling lab requests like bloodwork, maybe doing a few tests, but ultimately in the dark overall to the bigger picture. CX Troopers: Those are not in the same tubes we saw when Palpatine was visiting. There's a lot of Sith glyphs going on in that room, and none of those are present in the CX Trooper area. Still red, but not the same. These would not really be of any interest to Palpatine, he would rather seen the progression of his own personal clones. These guys seem more like a contingency spawning off the original CX Operatives from Season 2. After encountering The Bad Batch at the end of Season 2, and because Hemlock had Omega, he knew that some day they'd come for her. He experimented on Clones to make his own dark version of The Bad Batch to better take them on. And speaking of dark versions of things the music also sounded similar to the music used for the Dark Troopers in The Mandalorian, suggesting that these are like Phase 0 Dark Troopers. Scorch: Apparently there is a Commando somewhere at the very end walking around during Tarkin's scene that has some similar markings. The Commando armor is pretty tough stuff, even the shots that hit him didn't penetrate through all the armor, but even I am a bit dubious at his survival with the height of that fall. At the same time we've seen similar heights survived by Hunter because of some trees, and even in just the previous episode going full speed through the forest and not having any damage, so you never know. Hemlock: He is very much most likely dead, but I must say, given the type of experimentation he was into, if there are any cybernetics within him to keep his body alive, or alien genes spliced into his own, it would not surprise me if he survived. However, he still has to make it off the planet, and if all his stuff is being taken away, then that's going to be pretty hard to do, and everything on that planet is designed to kill. And he'd no doubt be on the Zillo Beast's list if they ever crossed paths, so he's a goner. Tarkin: You showed the shot, but didn't mention it. Imperial Star Destroyer! Earliest we've seen it in the timeline for Star Wars Animation. When you've seen it a million times, you become rather unaffected by seeing them, but this got a reaction out of me because we've been seeing those unpainted Venators for awhile, we finally got the OG wedge of death! Zillo Beast: Loved seeing him, was a bit disappointed that his antics ended so quickly. I'd have loved to have seen him going through more of the facilities and wrecking everything, but he's also generally just too big, and he's not even fully grown yet! Hemlock specifically says to shut down the reactor, but there is that other mountain with rings carved into it, they may still have more power for him to absorb and fully develop. The Kids: I'm not saying they'll never find their families, but I'd also kind of like them to be sent through The Path, although Pabu ain't so bad either. Just have to keep them out of the hands of the Empire. The Captured Clones: Join the Clone Underground! Get those Pensions! Eat the Rich! Continued in the reply...

  • @MCLegoboy

Echo: The next time Echo shows up, he better have a proper hand. Having the protocol droid hand was good for sneaking around, but I hate seeing that bare scomp just sticking out. He can keep the scomp, but just hide it within the arm! Unfortunately, the type of work he's in isn't exactly lucrative, so that will probably never happen. Emerie: Great to see her join the Clone Underground and fight for Clone Rights in the Senate. She's also got medical knowledge to keep everyone healthy that needs to stay hidden. That's a good point you make about Project Necromancer though, she may not make it very long if that information gets out. Tech: Tech is officially dead now. I've been joking that #TechLives but once they ended the show without him, it was clear he truly was dead. #TechLivesOnInOurHearts Crosshair: I was shocked he got his hand chopped off! But hey, no more tremors now. Besides, now that they all get to choose their own lives. Crosshair was only ever good at one thing, and that's shooting, but he never explored any other interests and talents he may have. I choose to believe he goes on to sing smooth jazz, and nobody can tell me otherwise! Smooth Jazz Crosshair! Wrecker: He easily becomes the handyman on Pabu. Need something heavy lifted? Wrecker can lift it. Need someone to fix your boat? He'll fix it (not well) and he'll also probably catch you some dinner! Need some redecorating? Well, he's your demo guy! However, he may also become a really good cook. He can eat, but maybe he starts to really refine what he eats and creates his own dishes, making Pabu versions of foods he's eaten across the Galaxy. Hunter: Looks good in a beard! He's also just got a bit more of an old samurai look to him. His pupil has finally reached a level of mastery and while he is reluctant to let Omega go, he knows he must. Omega: Never really thought about her being a pilot, but it makes sense. The thing I'm most curious about is at what point in the timeline that epilogue takes place. My gut reaction is around 3 BBY because that's when the Rebellion is really more officially formed and known as the Rebellion. Omega calls it the Rebellion, not joining a local Rebel Cell with it's own name, it's definitely the Rebel Alliance. The only hiccup with that is that Hunter really doesn't look all that old because we know just how old the Clones look at that age. He's only got a little bit of gray when everyone else was very gray and even white, but they were also living in the desert, it's murder on the aging process. I'm really kind of cool with whenever, but the closer to Rebels and the Original Trilogy the better. She's lived a good 15 years on Pabu by that point, actually getting to have a life, she now wants that for everyone. That also makes he about 30 though, so it's a bit counter to the kid all grown up going to college or moving out of the house vibe of the scene. (I wrote all of this right after that chapter in the video began. I wasn't anticipating all of what you said to be what I wrote.) This was a very good finale. If I have one gripe it's really that we never followed up much on Chuchi and the Clone Underground, but I can also appreciate that they kept things very focused. It would be a long process, we know that at some point the Clones are not seen as a threat if Rebels is any indication, pension or otherwise, Obi-Wan even shows a lone 501st guy so maybe they get nothing. Rebels could have easily ended tying directly into Rogue One and seeing the Ghost crew's efforts during the Battle of Scarif and other moments throughout the Original Trilogy, but they kept it focused on the characters, and it really worked. Bad Batch stayed focused on the Bad Batch, and while I would love to see what else comes for the Clones, this was still a very satisfying end to this show, we can follow up on other things later. And the show did basically deliver on the premise back when the show was first announced. The Clones were treated horribly, some were experimented on, other's were left to die because of bureaucracy and their replacements making them obsolete. Some followed Order 66 to the letter while others had it slowly wear off and go AWOL while other's banded together to survive the changing Galaxy. Some probably even took on mercenary work like the Bad Batch. The show did what it said, missing out on specifics just because I want it doesn't mean the show didn't do what I asked of it, and I was still satisfied with the Finale. Tales of the Empire: So hyped. I've got my alarm set for 2;45 am, gonna watch it all as it drops, and probably loop right back around and watch it again if it's anything like Tales of the Jedi's runtimes. My timeline spreadsheets are ready to make my best guesses if the shorts aren't super specific and if I remember, I'll share my findings.

Good point regarding the fact that we saw the Emperor looking at in the red mist earlier this season probably wasn't the Clone X troopers. I wonder if it was a Palpatine clone body that Hemlock was working on? Hmmmm. Either way, it was likely destroyed in the carnage. And great point about the Star Destroyer's first appearance. I should have called that out. Excellent feedback as always. Loved reading it all!

Been looking forward to this! Sid is definitely gone that or she just wasn't relevant I guess. I actually thought it was Phee at the end of the episode until it's revealed to be a much older Omega. I'm fine with the lack of Ventress but I do wanna see her in the future. Rex's lack of appearance was very disappointing but this show was called the Bad Batch after all. I loved the conclusion to Rampart and Nala Se, very well done. Evidently it takes them forever to get back to this stage cloning wise which is why the events of the Mandalorian are happening like they are I'd think. Had no idea Scalder survived though. Part of me hated that the Clone X troopers had no identities but I'm also glad it was not Tech too. Glad I wasn't the only one making the Scorch got scorched joke. I also had to lookup what Stardust was because I couldn't remember. I will say I was very surprised at how much of a peaceful ending we got either way. I'm glad that Emerie now has a bit of a redemption path going forward. The significance of Crosshair's hand was pretty powerful too! I thought the epilogue was like Episode4/Episdoe 5 but you could even say Rogue One too. The idea of her being Andor S2 is crazy though! Can't wait to see your breakdown for Tales of the Empire either way.

Star Wars The Mandalorian Season 1, Star Wars The Mandalorian Season 2 along with Star Wars The Mandalorian Season 3 & Star Wars Ahsoka all happen during the year 9 ABY, the reason we know this, is because not much time has passed since Star Wars The Book of Boba Fett, and I don't think Morgan Elsbeth was in custody that long also we The Mandalorian & Grogu flying in their N-1 starfighter & we also know that Mando was on his way to Mandalore to bathe in the waters, and we see that he was stripped of his title at the end of Star Wars The Book of Boba Fett Season 1.

They should make bad batch as bounty hunters not settled in Pabu, so many questions never answers and why time jump. Yeah, I can definitely understand your disappointment with how Scorch went out. I've heard that from others as well. But I do like the time jump as it was a way of saying that the Bad Batch finally gets to rest. They've been warriors all their lives and now they get to choose for themselves the next chapter for their lives. I thought that was really cool. But they could still give us some stories prior to the epilogue at some point, if they come up with a good idea, so there's still hope for seeing them again.

I’m not so sure the epilogue is set that far down the timeline. Omega is about 15 when the show ends so it seems strange to have a kid leaving home vibe when she would be 30. Also Hunter doesn’t look anywhere near as old as Rex, Wolffe and Gregor did in Rebels. I think it’s only been 5-10 years.

Considering the fact Omega says “the Rebellion” I think it's safe to say the ending takes place during the events of Star Wars Rebels since chronologically speaking that's when all rebel cells united and were finally deemed The Rebellion. Rebels also takes place about 15 years after the events of ROTS so she probably joined just between the Battle of Attolon and the Battle of Yavin.

Good question...so it seems like the start of the season is in 18 BBY due to those marks that Omega puts on the wall and then it seems the rest of the season spans a relatively short period of time. I didn't see too many places for gaps of more than a few days or maybe a few weeks here and there. So my guess is that the season ends in 18 BBY. But let me know your thoughts on that. I'm so curious to see the new version of the timeline book in a few years.
