It baffles me that people unfollow you because 'they' think you're moving south. What is that? May I offer up a word of self induced wisdom. Say sorry for nothing. I enjoy following you both and if that means watching you settle on the face of the moon, I'm in! Keep living your best life. God bless you both.

Bless your heart Bobby; saying "sorry" is merely the recognition of a possible error. The inability or unwillingness to acknowledge one's mistakes is not an act of wisdom, it is an indication of weakness and having a lack of regard for others.

My son Thomas has eat a few chains and I had to tell him several times how to avoid dulling the chain. The best way for me to teach him was to make him sharpen the chains!!! So he learned fast. I do not have a PEEVEE but maybe we should get some. I typically cut twice as much wood as I have seen you cutting because we burn wood year round here to cook and for our hot water and because it gets so cool here in the summer that in the evenings we need a little heat. So Thomas was laughing about you telling him Don't do that!. Maybe we could blacksmith a peevee. Jim in Chile.

4:59 I literally Laughed Out Loud when you said you wanted to got somewhere where it was 70-60 degrees in winter. Only place around here might be Miami area. We have a cabin in Tennessee near your designated VA/NC/TN area it’s definitely quite chilly freezing weather in the winter we just probably get less snow than you are used to. As for the new channel. That just dilutes your viewers, potential income and views. Just keep it on this channel as its own How To series. Just my two cents.
@thebossoftheswamp

We've been following the weather in those areas since late February and saw several days in the 60's from that date and all thru March. We like hiking in temps 40 to 50 but not in 4 feet of snow.
You are correct Boss. Most people live a work a day life and lay their head down in the same place every night. They just don't envision any other way of life. Live life to the fullest on ya"lls terms. Those that want to mosie on down the road, let them. Others will come along and find value in what you share. Cool Peevee too. Love the older hand tools, they are the best. You did a great job on the handle replacement. We have a lot of old hand tools and cherish them as we break them out when needed for use. I am the same way with kitchen stuff. They just don't make things like they use to.
Always a joy to hear from you JC. Keep on Keeping on. Take care and catch you on the next visit. God bless.
Half the fun of following your channel is that its never the same. I live vicariously thru your adventures and learn something new all the time. Dont sweat the small stuff. Haters gonna hate, their loss. You do you, thats why im jere.

Hey Boss, we chose to retire to Tennessee and are enjoying the milder climate. Right now as we approach October the weather is absolutely beautiful! The humidity of July and August are our most challenging times, but my husband says the perspiration makes me look younger!!😁

Yes sir! No need for a schedule. Do your thing and no explanation needed! Love the videos!
I've followed you for several years. Just do yourselves. Everyone has different dreams to chase.

Hey Boss.....recently returned from a month or so in Montana....Idaho....Wyoming. Backpacking some, hiking a lot and camping every night. So nice! You come and go, plan and adjust, every way that true desire takes you. That's what freedom is all about. No explanations necessary! (p.s.....I absolutely KNOW I am preaching to the choir. It's just my way of saying I support you no matter how your life unfolds). All the best, Tom

Greetings from PEI. No confusion here, you stated what was going on all along, alas I turn 60 next Saturday and I'm a better listener. You do you, always enjoyed the journey regardless of the zig or the zag. My wood pile is huge, after Hurricane Fiona last year, to the day, I've been in accumulation mode. I would say by November 11th, a steady burn. We have a stellar week of weather coming up and I did your cucumber trellis in my greenhouse and it was massive. I grew Beit Alpha, a middle eastern type, thin skinned, no peeling necessary. I made a flank steak stir fry with 'Globo Onions' and peppers, the Globo's are huge, all the best and welcome to Fall!!

Hi again BOSS Able to say hi again yay! Another beautifully cut and stacked wood pile caught my eye once again. Kinda silly but always through the years that made me smile as mine was good but not quite ever that good lol! You still can fix almost anything which I know how you do enjoy figuring out the how to. Why I do believe your new channel idea would be so fun for you and such a great help for others. That brain of yours has learned and fixed problems over your whole lifetime right along side of your many life experiences. Really hope you go for it! However as it's been through the years take the kind meaning comments under consideration but ignore those snarkey mean spirited ones! Thats all junk you don't need to be in your thoughts at all. Happy you and Lori have many life options to consider and time prayer and your choices will clear your way onto your next adventure. I know for sure you'll be happy and have great peace no matter... Always have wondered how sweet Tilly has been for you growing up. Did she have a hard time missing Frankie? She too must be pretty cool cause Frankie surely taught her all kinds of things and you training her with all your gifts was the perfect combo that she's turned out just fine. Your good health continues on and is such a miracle. Never to forget that whole time but I surely was so relieved and thankful to move you way way down on my prayer list!! Keep on keepin on living life to the fullest under your own terms and be thankful and happy everyday my friend. I will continue as always taggin along and saying hi when i can. Just know if I do pass on I will so look forward to finally meeting you on the other side along with others like you that added much to my life from afar along with other family friends and of course our beloved dogs. You Lori and Tilly take good care. God bless

Nice to visit again with you BossMan. You are Lori sure do get a lot accomplished. I love the look of your wood pile. Nice and neat and ready to go. I thought your previous vids were pretty clear, but we all hear and see things through our own filters. Wherever your adventures take you, it will be fun to join you vicariously. Thanks for sharing your life and journey. God bless.
Hi Boss, looking forward to new diy videos.
First of all, not sure how anyone misconstrued what you had said about going south. As a Miami guy I always think of going north so your comments then, resonated with me. On the Peavey "Cant" hook we just called it a cant hook. My dad passed away in March and the cant hook was all that was left from the days when my old man built a portable Frick sawmill in our back yard in suburban Miami in the 70's. While getting his place squared away in May I had to move a fallen tree and the cant hook came in handy. It's something I'll hold on to and maybe take to western NC when I go up in Oct to cool off. Thanks for your stories.
Hello J.C. and Lori! I have always thought that you live your lives from a sense of adventure, and made plans that allow you to do as you wish to do....and I have always viewed them with an interest! That is why I have subscribed and liked your channel all of these years! To me, the main focus that I feel you bring out is a balance of living with Nature, and utilizing those elements in an effort of harmony, and conservation. Truth be told, I was thinking that both you and Lori were getting a bit of the "Travel Bug", and maybe planning to do some RV/Camping adventures to leave the snow belt behind for a bit, and were going to start a new path on your channel...leading to more adventures! (Maybe that is still a thought?) To put it simply, I think you both are good folks, and people who I would like to meet up with one day to share both campfires, and stories! Until that day comes, we both just continue to chat through the cyberspaces, and I'll continue to watch your channel(s) as you make them! All the Best to you both! God Bless! ~Lou

Truth be told Lou, the future is a blank canvas that we throw paint at in a random fashion these days. Today, I'm puttering on garage while Lori is hiking with her friend in the Adirondacks. When she returns we'll go to the NY cabin for a few days, then go pull up the garden at the camp and... take it from there. Life is good my friend.
I'm still here more then a decade later enjoying your content Boss. Best wishes in whatever your next moves are. Just stay healthy. God Bless !!!
