They're great bikes, heaps of aftermarket mods to do. Only reason I sold mine was just for a change but I miss it everyday

I've used Sony Vegas for all the videos, but I've now switched to premier pro, it seems a lot better. Sony Vegas kept crashing and was doing weird things with the bit rate, wouldn't really recommend it.

God I miss my drz. and the one before that.

Mine is a stock drz400 sm and 137-140 kph is the top speed, maybe pushed can go to 145 kph but i would not recommend it, this bike is not made for speed. Btw I'm 78 kg

What was the top speed? Im thinking about getting one.

I've got it up to 150-160kph pinned but wouldn't recommend it haha.

I got a DR650 from what was probably the last shipment of them to NZ, now I'm wondering if I should grab a DRZ400SM too... Anyway brother, cheers for sharing and have a great weekend!

Cheers mate, yeah I'm up in Auckland. The DRZ is like the DR650 as it there won't be any new ones coming into NZ because of the new ABS law unfortunately.

@@nz-mc2290 nice one brother, I'm down in the deep south! Yeah that's been my fear for a while with the DRZ, although if they lean into the enduro category they might get around it? I forget the weight and ground clearance it has to meet but its basically there... the SM however I really doubt can. Might have to make a call to the dealership or Suzuki NZ and see if I can source one... Or I could just be happy with the DR650 for a while and add one of the Husqvarnas or KTM SMs in a couple of years time. I don't need a SM I just want one!

You guys have the ktms and the duke 390 really cheap over there though right? That would be my go to if i were you. Very similar to the drz400sm in my opinion. Efi and 6 speed with a quick shifter.
