Prince Harry was deployed on active duty to Afghanistan on two occasions; dont be rude. He is a veteran. Pat Tillman could have stayed in the NFL and Prince Harry could have stayed in his castle. both neither did. I think you have been at war too long.

Harry did not found the Invictus Games alone. His brother and sister in law were also involved as well as many of the organisers from the 2012 Olympics. Most of these people have moved away from the Games as Harry and his wife have made it about themselves.

If Harry had any dignity, he'd refuse to accept the award. Everything Harry has done is self-serving. He didn't create the Invictus Games, and he is taking all the credit. You're wrong, Brittany. The Royal Foundation, Edward Fox, Prince Philip, Prince William, Catherine, and the Ministry of Defence were instrumental in creating the games and doing the work to get it off the ground. Harry may have had the idea, but he didn't do the hard yards or background work. It was handed to him to give him something to do and keep him out of trouble. Harry was then given the games as part of the Sandringham agreement. I'm so tired of him stating he is the founder. William and Catherine have also donated millions of pounds to IG. They gave their portion of the funds that were left when Harry took over, and William also gave the money he received in the hacking case. Harry has donated none of his own money, and he does nothing to raise funds either. Harry and his wife do nothing but take from IG and use it for their own PR. They don't do the hard work behind the scenes either. They turn up after all of the work has been done with Netflix cameras and showboat themselves.

Include also the Kennedy Award for fighting against institutional racism in the royal family. They are both shallow show ponies jumping on any bandwagon for attention. They didn't make this decision and they didn't scramble the excuses after people complained. Trust me, the C-suite people for one of the biggest corporations in the world don't give a rat's about Harry. They have bigger issues to deal with than a third-rate sports awards show.

We all know how selfish Harry is, and how he has betrayed his country, his family, and brothers in arms. However, this truly shows how selfish, and evil, he is. He has tarnished the IG, the memory of Pat Tillman, members of the military around the world, and Pat Tillman’s mother.

It's doubtful Harry could be called the primary founder. He has never really done anything, and his family was responsible for the Games. It's really just unforgiveable that anyone could think Harry should be given any award for service in any area. Those who served with the little twit knew him as Bunker Harry, as his protective detail took him directly to the bunker whenever any danger, no matter how minor, was at all likely. Basically, Harry has earned his reputation as a worthless jerk. ESPN should be boycotted.

Harry did NOT found the Invictus Games. Somebody in the Royal household saw the Warrior Games in the USA, and pitched the idea to the Royal Foundation. Prince Charles, Prince William, Catherine and also Prince Phillip. Members of the military, the Royal household as well as the aforementioned Royals did all the grunt work and it was decided to include Harry to give him something to do. At the Sandringham Summit he wanted to hang on to the games for himself, so the others backed away. He had contributed nothing but enthusiasm. Everyone else had done all the work setting it up. It makes me so cross that he hijacks the whole thing under his name, when he had very little to do with it. It wasn't even his idea!

Instead, we're bombarded with endless articles every day about what Meghan wears, and we had to watch her MARCH IN FRONT OF VETERANS in skimpy shorts and flip flops. You are so right. Harry may have been full of enthusiasm and good intentions at the beginning but has allowed the event to become his narcissistic wife's personal Project Runway. IMO, the award should be given to the IG Foundation since they are the ones doing 99% of the work. Lending your name and status to an event doesn't qualify you to receive an award. Obviously, DISNEY/ESPN didn't do their homework and underestimated the intelligence of the public. SHAME! SHAME! SHAME!

Royals give awards … they don’t receive awards. This couple are a disgrace and morally offensive

Hopefully sense will prevail. And the award is withdrawn. Mr. Tillman’s family should be consulted before nomination is awarded to any individual.

This general backlash is well overdue and I hope it finally sends the pair of them back to stay quietly in Montecito permanently.

I think I may have said this in an earlier video, but as the wife of an army veteran who has been in the line of fire in Afghanistan more than once, I AM LIVID about this award!!!!! IT MAKES ME SICK that ESPN would give an award to Harry...someone who has been coddled his entire military career and has never been put in harm's way!

Agree 100%. Wife of Air Force veteran, cannot fathom how in the world this award would be given to Harry! It's despicable. Shame on ESPN. Harry doesn't even like the U.S. and is working with the Aspen Institute to take away freedom of speech. That way no one can speak or write the truth about him being a traitor. Royalty is meant to hand out awards Not receive them.

Harry should be mighty ashamed about even thinking about accepting the pat Tillman's award. He should be ashamed when we think of the hero's that really should be accepting this award. Pat Tillman's mother has come out denying harry this award. He should respect this and drop out. Harry's a coward that why he accepts these awards because he'll never get a legitimate award for heroism and valour. Prince William would qualify way ahead of harry because as we know he's a coward and he will never go receive any awards unless he pay for them.

They should give the award to the Invictus Games directly and benefit the veterans, without Harry's name.

Yes he was, an in America they gave him a award, for him flying A Helicopter in the war. No he was a gunner. He couldn't pass any test to fly any Helos or airplanes at all . But he damn sure took that award, for something HE DID NOT DO. HE deserves no awards.

Pat Tillman's mother was very diplomatic in her response to Harry being given this award. I would not have been gentle with my words if my Son's name was being dishonored by giving a lying traitor this award.

ESPN should be ashamed to pass out this award to such an entitled narcissist. Who left his country for Hollywood. Whereas Pat Tillman served and lost his life for country leaving the money. ESPN should have given the award to a person with integrity. And actually contributed to sports. Pat Tillman’s mom has every right to speak out on how her son’s name and to who the award goes to. Harry is a divisive person who trashed his family, friends and country.

If Harry had any self respect or a conscience he would have turned the award down. I can absolutely understand Pats mum being upset, her son was selfless, and gave his life for his country.

Such a sad sign of the times - so many awards or recognition is no longer based on merit but the depth of one’s pockets or “who you know”. When I didn’t think Harry could sink ANY lower, here he tries to make a mockery of such a prestigious and meaningful award! We all remember Pat Tillman and his amazing, selfless sacrifice - Harry doesn’t even deserve to shine this award or stand in the same room as it; let alone be named a recipient!

Check the timeline for every time Harry is nominated for one of these awards he has no business being near - you will find every single one comes off the back of Markle doing something cringe or damaging to her reputation - I think Harry is getting these awards to take the focus off Markles strategic misfires. It’s about limiting her reputational damage. Look at each award - then look at what story broke about Markle 1-2 weeks prior. Each time it’s something considered embarrassing to her. This is no different. Who is talking about M trying to pull attention away from a woman undergoing cancer treatment with another stupid PR stunt? Exactly.

Disney was so embarrassed when they found out the charity didn't get the money. They dug into their own pockets to replace the $500,000. Also, she was so bad at the voice over, they replaced her with another actress. ( Also. I suspect they didn't want the association with her). The CEO was furious. Disney may own 80% of ESPN but I doubt ESPN runs its daily decisions by Disney. Disney has bought a lot of companies, fully formed, and isn't in the biz of micro- managing them. Whatever you think of Disney. They definitely are not Harkle fans. Disney actually pulled out of sponsoring the 2024 Ingriftus Games specifically over the presence of Markle. Disney told the IG board of directors that it was" her or us". The board picked Markle, who takes FROM charities, over Disney, who GIVES money TO charities. Land Rover/ Jaguar did the same thing. The CEO of Boeing is threatening next.

The Pat Tillman award stands for honor, duty, service, respect, selflessness. Harry doesn’t possess any of these traits. Therefore he is ineligible for this award all around. Boycott, ban, snub and deny Harry an honor he does NOT deserve. Ban, boycott, snub ESPN, Disney, Serena Williams and Harry and Meghan. None of the people or organizations deserve any kind of support. They are all money and fame grifters!

I can hear Harry saying "why shouldn't it be me!"

After the backlash it has created if #5 had any honour or decency he would politely decline this award. This could be a big moment for him to show he has a little bit of honour left but I don't expect him to have such humility.

Pat Tillman's mother has not spoken out before because ESPN has not disrespected her son in the past. Giving Harry this award is nothing but a calculated publicity stunt and shame on ESPN for honoring cheap publicity over honoring the legacy of Pat Tillman. The backlash is just another example of the decline of Harry and his D-list actress wife as both continue to pretend how important they are. I have lost respect for Serena Williams and all those involved in disrespecting Pat Tillman.

Harry has never seen 1 minute of battle. His own unit named him Bunker Harry. He sat in his Bunker with security keeping him safe playing X box war while his unit saw real fighting.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over expecting different results....Megain and Harry in a literal "nutshell..."

As the wife of a disabled veteran I’m disgusted by Prince Hazbeen getting this award. It does a disservice to the award itself and veterans that actually deserve the award.

I can only imagine how horrified & embarrassed Prince William is of his own brother! I bet he is shaking his head in utter disbelief.

The man who faced disciplinary action in the army for using derogatory terms for his colleagues, failed the helecoptor pilots test several times, and may have had his drug usage covered for. The man who does play polo but is hardly stellar, and rumoured to be somewhat abusive to his horses. The man who is in the US on visa, not naturalized. The man who, as far as I can tell, only turns up to do the speeches at Invictus games. The man who took no real action about the African Parks complaints, and promotes drug use. Hardly stellar.

Allegedly, the Pat Tillman Award was purchased for Harry. In my opinion, if those who make the decisions for the Pat Tillman Award, actually looked into Harry's involvement with Invictus, maybe ask someone of the participants or check into Harry's military career. Maybe ask why hes called 'Bunker' Harry or ask some of the people he served with. As I said before, this is all in my opinion.

Why are they giving this award to Harry? He didn't found the Invictus Games a vacuum. It was a collaborative effort by the royal family and it's staff. Why don't they give it to the Invictus Games as a whole or to the whole royal family? He never could have started it if he hadn't been a member of that family or had their support!

Harry served his country by playing video games during his deployment! Sign the petition!

Harkle broke his oath to his commander in chief and country, gave up a life of service,left to find fame and personal fortune, Pat Tillman left a life of personal fame and fortune for a life of service the two men are polar opposites. If they gave the award to the Games and Harkle was to pick it up as the patron for the organisation there wouldn't have been any problem

Invictus was not created solely by Hairball and in no way megsi. He forgets conviently Prince Phillip, Prince William and Princess Katherine. Whom all created Invictus from inception. He stands there and will take the Pat Tillman award which in no comparison does he deserve, has earned or should accept out of respect to Mary and the memory of Pat and he friends and all who knew him and loved and miss him.

Harry didn't even help setting it up. He was too busy partying allegedly..he was handed the complete package...he never done any fundraisers and left them out in the cold during COVID...William kept Invictus going financially..now H and his wife ruined it...shame on them

If Harry had any class, he would have quietly declined the honor.

Complete Agreement

Marcus Rashford, the footballer on the recipients' listing, deserved the award. He campaigned for children to be given a meal when school is out but the Government (the one still in power) refused. He wouldn't give up because though we have a system of free meals during school time, for poorer families it is challenging in the school holidays. Evenutually, he nagged the Government so much that they did a U turn and provided meals for children in non-school time. He then went on to literacy and ensuring children have books in their homes. He has always countered head on racism in football. For all of this and more, Queen Elizabeth gave him the MBE. He took his mum to the ceremony. Aww. He came up through the Football Academy system. He never went to Eton, threw all his chances away, said his home life was terrible. He got on with it.

No don't give it to the games. That's as good as giving wealth to H and M at the cost of Veterans!!
