    ...the first plumber that I've ever seen with a level of respect to actually take the extra few seconds to place a towel beneath a dripping drain like that to prevent water from damaging everything. Honestly its as if most plumbers don't think its a big deal but I think its amazing and deserves recognition...

  • @stf2400
    @stf24006 жыл бұрын

    My question is, water heater possibly causing some of the issues? We have hard water here and I had to drain my water heater several times plus let it run out the drain with the water turned on (the heater was turned off) to get all the crud out. It was making a banging noise while it ran for a long time before we drained it. Once I flushed it all out the noise stopped and water flow is 10x better than before.

    if you ever install a water softener on a system with scale deposits like that .... get ready, that stuff can flake off in large chunks and cause stoppages. Cities have to gradually mix softer water with old hard hard water supplies when they change to softer water, like from wells to surface water. Obviously, hard water can scale up a boiler pretty quickly if the water chemistry isn't balanced.

    I periodically rent a snake to clear my parent's drains. Once it punches through the blockage, I turn on the faucet and continue to run the snake. The fresh water clears out the line and cleans off the snake. It comes out clean as a whistle.

    Amazing that he didn't melt the valve seat when soldering the valve in place, he could have removed the stem and seat first.

    Ive sweat in tons of valves. Just open them up all the way when soldering. No need to pull the stem
