Doritos are now manufactured in China, you'll see them more often everywhere. Places like Carrefour in Shenzhen offer the locally made ones and the remaining imported ones. Locally made cost about a 3rd of the imported price, and taste the same. Tough to watch the lead up to goodbye, was palpable.

Glad to see you are back in Japan and raring to go. Eat better as your health is everything and now is the time to get in better physical and mental health. Excrete all that toxic junk food out of your system. Eat as many fruits and nuts and veggies as you can and good Japanese sushi. Don't forget a few good beers are allowed and of course same! I am glad you got a solar charger so you can keep your batteries topped off while on the road. It is a lot easier to keep your cell phone fully charged and also a camera battery or a battery bank up while pedalling during the day time and if power is available at the stop then you can prioritize what else needs charged up while you are winding down your day and evening. On those nights you camp out you can have that much less to charge. If you have a battery bank or spare batteries you can use them to charge your laptop and other items. I am trying to cycle battery banks and using them to charge my cell phone and tablets to see what will work best in the rotation. I believe you mentioned you could use your drone battery packs as battery banks so that is a good thing. I hope everything goes as planned as it can be and you find many beautiful sights to see. Have a safe and fun journey and get those killer drone shots and give us the great cinema you have built that reputation around. Looking forward to the renewal of the JaYoe Tour and further adventures!

Hey Matt! I remember in one of the earlier Japan vlogs you had mentioned passing through shops trying to find authentic souvenirs to send to Annie ( or something along those lines) When your trip takes you to Tokyo , maybe you should consider stopping at the mokuhankan print studio , they make these really neat traditional Japanese prints using old methods , you can check their website at: mokuhankan.com , they also have a youtube channel which is how I discovered them! Maybe you could meet with David Bull who runs the whole thing ^^ Either-way , have a nice trip! looking forwards to the Vlogs! Jayoe!

Do you have any update on the "knee savers?" I'm just curious. I'll join you in your 90 day quest. I have MUCH farther to go to meet my fitness goal before starting serious touring. Maybe then I can track you down and ride with you a bit, once you start your North American leg.

7/11 is owned by Japanese 7&i holding, they operate all the 7/11's in China one reason they are stocked so well. Wish 7/11's in Japan would bring their stores to the U.S. and operate them like the Japanese do.

7/11 is called 7&I Holding in Japan. Unbelieve store they have everything and the food is fresh and best prices. All 7/11’s in Japan have ATM machines that are in Japanese and English. With these machines you can do everything from getting cash on your ATM card, paying bills, purchasing tickets for everything in Japan. You can copy, fax and do most business at a Japanese 7/11 a great place for travelers in Japan. I should note all Japanese convenience stores are set up this way and very clean.
