Memories of Wakkanai
Wakkanai Air Station, Wakkanai, Hokkaido, Japan. I have many fond memories of my time in Japan while in the U.S. Air Force... a nation of friendly people steeped in ancient traditions and a unique philosophy on how to live life.

I was at 6986th 1966-1967. Looking back it was one of the most memorable times. Thanks... I have pictures of the Seven and Shadow +++
Nice work. I was there 69-70. Medic
62-64. My video has some interesting comments from Japanese. I told Paul Tibbets about watching Flying Leathernecks at the Japanese Wakkanai theater as the only American. After dropping the bomb, Paul never visited Japan. He passed away 6 months after our meeting at age 92, I think. When JFK was assassinated, we went to DEFCON 2. I was an Analyst and had to guard a transformer.
