My "new to me" EFL8450 P-47 Razorback 1.2m BNF Basic with AS3X & SAFE Select didn't come with the stock AR636A receiver, instead someone had swapped in an AR620 which is perfectly fine but I wanted AS3X & Safe in this plane.
Initially I was going to drop in a new Spektrum AR630 DSMX 6-Channel AS3X & Safe Receiver but discovered by using a Spektrum TX/RX USB Programming Cable (SPMA3065) and the right profile from the Spektrum model download site I could program one of my left over 636A receivers.
