@@Phoenix56801 why would anyone buy a another laptop that’s slower,battery that don’t last as long, lower quality speakers, worse webcam and lower quality microphones, smaller fans that soon cuz heat in keys and not just that EVEN MORE EXPENSIVE just for a touch screen instead of a Mac 💀, it’s kinda a no brainer unless u need windows 🙃

@@saleemnagi1676 It doesn’t have Lower quality speakers. It also has a much better quality keyboard, a much better screen and of course may need windows. I have an xps 15 not 13, upgraded to 32gb Ram and 2tb ssd for $1600 total. For a MacBook Pro that wouldve been 2k+ even though my intent wasn’t saving, there’s no spec for that with MacBooks. Also m1 dev support is not ideal for what I do, I’ll see what happens with this new gen

its only your opinion its clear and a truth dell xps 13 speakers is not good as MacBook Pro M1 * dell fhd version display is not as good as Mac 2k Display which is more colour accurate sharper and has deeper blacks MacBook pro display. sRGB colour space 100% aRgb 88.3 DCI -p3 100% Dell fhd+ display sRGB 98% aRGB 77% DCI-p3 78% *M1 simply smokes i7 11nth gen like butter both in cpu and gpu performance( M1 even beats i9 8 core and And 5900hs in cpu performance both in single and multicore ) much faster web browsing score 230in speedo web browsing benchmarks leagues better than any windows laps *way better trackpad *much better speakers *muchbetter webcam and microphone s *muchbetter battery life *faster ssd speed its clear which is better and only thing that will matter here is os which is self preference
I got the m1 MacBook air a few weeks ago and I love it so far. It is very enjoyable to use. Just excited to see how it performs during the fall term

The key travel on the XPS 13 is unmatched. I also have the XPS 15 for work and it's not as good. DELL nailed the form factor on the xps 13. Be it to type or excel or browsing, it's a pleasure.

I use a Dell XPS 13 and lemme give u a tip that would save your XPS battery. Change the resolution from the default one to 1920x1080. I agree this would take away the nice and glossy screen but it seems to be perfect for everyday use. If you are planning to watch a movie or edit videos, then you can change the resolution back to the default one. Also, change to power-saving mode. This would again help XPS to last longer. I use my XPS mainly for academic purposes and this seems to work well.

@@aliildirimzade6836 When I used my XPS continuously, with Word, Chrome, and Spotify running simultainously, I observed that my XPS battery lasted for approx 10 hours. However, small tip, when you charge your XPS, do not take it all the way to 100. Stop at around 85% and start at around 20%. The laptop does happen to become hot sometimes, but this happens only while charging, Else, it is just fine.

Dell XPS 15 is also good for Back to School and also if your budget is higher or if you are not planning to get a monitor and external gaming keyboard or mouse. Since it has RTX 3050 in the base model, I think it should handle modern games pretty well. And also it's the best 15 inch laptop that has got small bezels around the screen which makes it look like the best rival to 16 inch MacBook Pro and also XPS 17 is his brother who got his back, in case if Macbook beats it.

XPS line always have thermal throttling issues and keyboard will stop working in some models after years. Good laptop if you get lucky and get a good model. Dell needs to step up their game when it comes to ports. Micro sd is not expected at all.

Honestly I know some people like or even depend on ecosystems, but I stay away from tech ecosystems as much as possible. It locks you in to the product family until the competition becomes better. But by then it becomes too hard for you to leave said ecosystem. It's honestly a really big gamble with ecosystems.

Moved from xps 13z 9360 to m1 MBP a month ago. Always was a windows user and I still have my custom built PC for the heavy lifting. Mac runs circles around xps. battery life, build quality, typing experience, track pad, overall speed of the machine and ease of working of the M1 is simply impeccable. Havent heard the fan so far even with heavy editing on the mac. hate to admit it, but it really is an amazing machine. All the windows lovers looking for a new machine, I would highly recommend at least checking out the mac. I am sure you would love it. The only thing you'd hate about the mac is relying on freaking dongles. Cheers!

@@baasemkhan8058 Close your eyes and buy M1 Air. Apple has awesome deals on M1 machines as they have newer models. No need to go for MacBook Pro. MacBrookPro is more suitable for people who want to do editing, heavy coding etc. Good luck my friend!

I fully agree with your statement on Dell and their 'Support'. They create great products, but their support is ridiculously terrible. I had to argue and complain for multiple months before finally, they send over a technician that basically replaced almost every part in my XPS 17. I hope they sort that out. I love my XPS, but i would not buy one again, simply because of the support.

How do you not get screen flicker whilst recording the screen of laptops or monitors?
Man, it's so dang expensive though. Honestly you always think Mac's are overpriced. I don't care about touch screen at all, invitation for fingerprint smudges etc. But the dell XPS 13 with those specs is almost $600 more than a Macbook M1 Air. Insane. Even a more modest 256GB SSD and a I7 processor is still over $300 more.

So much detail, but you missed the one thing that has killed the XPS line for us developers over the last few iterations - the home and end keys are no longer on the cursor keys. And the cursor keys are now full size, and so indistinguishable from the other keys by touch. These two changes make it much harder to navigate around documents without having to take your eyes of the screen and look at the keyboard. I've been an XPS user for decades, but have recently started to look at the macbook because of these changes.

Wierd the MacBook Air doesn't have any of those keys on the keyboard. The current XPS13 2020 has a home and END keys. Both have the same style cursor keys.
