Back to Class Lecture: Why Literature and Medicine?

In this Back to Class with Brown Faculty presentation, Arnold Weinstein, professor of comparative literature, discusses how literature can be used to diagnose, explore, and treat diseases rather than traditional biology, and his desire to view medicine from a narrative perspective. He spoke to the Brown Club of Rhode Island on August 21, 2010. See the entire presentation on the Brown Alumni Association website: alumni.brown.edu/learning/podc...

He's a brilliant man who has several courses available through The Great Courses. I didn't truly understand literature until hearing Arnold Weinstein.
