Back to Basics - Semi-Crescent Flower Arrangement in foam

This design is a semi-crescent, almost the same as a crescent flower arrangement, but this design is asymmetrical, meaning one side is longer than the other.
To create this type of arrangement you will need a tall container with a wide enough opening at the top to hold a piece of floral foam. One side of the design is longer than the other, creating the asymmetric shape.
The style of this design is quite traditional, with evenly space flowers and foliage, placed unevenly either side of the focal flower to create asymmetric balance. I'll look at this again in a few weeks time, using foliage to create a more dramatic shape and contemporary look. Don't forget to pop back to see this video in a few weeks time. If you are new to arranging, take a few minutes to view my Back to Basics series which will explain how to create a very all round arrangement using a minimal amount of flowers.
