Fantastic job Richard. If this doesn't make one want to go out and plein air, nothing will. Superb capture of a difficult composition. Difficult in that it is so simple, couple that with such a small size and you've got quite the challenge. Such a beautiful piece in it's simplicity. Fresh and spontaneous. 👋Hi Richard, good to see you out and about again. You picked an eventful day to create your painting on the coast. Wow, those waves make a roar like thunderclaps. But that doesn't seem to bother you, that's the advantage of being a professional artist like you, while the rest of us still need quiet time to paint. You've captured all the essentials in your small but beautiful painting: the color of the sky, the drifting clouds that ultimately explain the powerful movement of the sea, the turquoise green water and crests of the waves, the wetted rock in the foreground, and the headland in the distance surrounded by foaming surf. - You are so adept at using your palette knife that you could actually always save yourself the hassle of cleaning up used brushes 😊Thanks, Richard, that was a nice momentum we got to spend with you. I wish you all the best, have a good time painting. 👍💖

G'day mate, probably the best thing to do on the coast...paint it. Love the knife work as usual, the near and far, the lost and found as one impressive artist likes to say. Great reminder about distant values and freedom of movement/expression when capturing the nuances of the waves. Yep, I love your captures, I won't say work because you are having too much fun. Richard, I love your outdoor videos so much that it’s inspiring me to try doing one or two. Camera phones are a pain to use for full length videos I’ve found. Do you have any videos or input on your camera/recording equipment?

Amazing! what do you coat your palette with so you can clean it later? I just end up with a stained piece of wood I don't want to use again.
