My 1977 Triumph , 750 cc T 120 V red & white tank.. I had back in the day sure wish I had kept her...she took care of me many times getting me back home even when a piston wrist circlip broke in Las Vegas and I had 500 miles to get back to the coast of Calif...just kept pouring oil into her...rebuilt her top end when I got home..then off on another adventure...Moab , Utah I think it was in 1980 ...old motel rooms were 10 bucks a night along the way or camping out for free...food and gas cheap...what a wonderful time in my life..Like those jackets....Thanks you 2 !

@@FreddieDobbs I've had some wonderful rides venturing out from Avila Beach in Calif in the late 70's . Up the coast of Calif from Morro Bay on highway 1 views of the Ocean all the way up to Carmel ....Monterey , looking for Clint Eastwood...lol..all about luck and getting a non foggy day...beautiful views as the highway climbs the cliff. Great stops along the way...Pfeiffer State beach Mc Way falls ...if you're lucky many many dolphins can be seen at times. Most one time visitors get fog or rain . As a local we pick the best days to go. There is camping along the way of course nowadays have to plan way ahead ... Local rides in Paso Robles or San Luis Obispo through wine country and tasting rooms Paso Robles has rolling hills covered with oak trees...If in the Avila beach area I recommend a drive thru See Canyon drive and a stop at Kelseys See Canyon Vineyards small family farm...On that ride top of that drive is a great view of the Ocean and the " Rock " and the town of Morro Bay...Thanks for the great videos you two !

Another great video, and I can't wait for the BSA film. Not much of a surprise with India from experience, nothing seems to work there everytime. But you'll love Bali, great friendly locals, and a great place to travel around on 2 wheels, I'd go back without hesitation.

BSA. As a young boy, I was heavily into bikes of course. We used to look in everyone’s back garden just to see of there were any unwanted bikes. If so we knocked on the door and asked if we could take it away. This resulted in a few being retrieved including a BSA Bantam, 125cc, a BSA B31, 350cc, and a Norton ES2, 500 cc complete with chair! We used to get them going, strip them down to lose weight, buy a gallon of 4 Star, 1s 3d! and go riding around the LBC pits at the end of our road. Those days taught me a lot and certainly drilled into me my Bike craft. Look forward to the BSA history.

Hi Freddie, I’m glad Triumph have supplied a coat for Monica as you are a great salesman for them. I myself have recently bought a Triumph Speed-master after getting hooked to your content. I’m currently whizzing around the lanes in Norfolk but as am yet unable to convince my wife to join in as she says it’s to cold, hah, bah humbug to that.

Dubai is interesting, lived out there for a bit and come and go as we have an office out there, quite a good bike culture and some good rides

I'm reiterating what most have said. I don't know what is, the charm ,the music , the capturing or my love for everything English that has me glued to this. My half brother just got back from Dubai and loved it he once lived in Singapore. Even though Indian is in my blood and only went there in 69 during the Beatle Era, I think that would be a challenge for biking in my opinion. Anyhow I'm ready to ride along from my desk chair with the greatest of ease. Onward you 2 shall go.

@@FreddieDobbs I watched a recent video about Singapore recently and yes...lol..it has changed ALOT...it was my favorite place to go when i was in the Navy...one of the few i have always said i would love to go back to...just dont litter when your there..lol..they have pretty harsh punishments for it...

You're absolutely correct! "It doesn't matter if it's better or worse than other bikes, there is nothing like riding your own bike...that trust that you have with your bike". I'm only going to ride what I enjoy and feel comfortable on. Friends tried talking me into buying a Harley but it just wasn't my style. The Vulcan S kind of picked me. However I'm still looking for a bike with an old school feel to it for a second bike because I have a lot of respect for the retro style. As far as the online passport goes make sure there's no space before or after your name. I had multiple issues trying to send send an email for a few days in Outlook and realized I was leaving a space after the email address. It was a real headache. Technology isn't very advanced sometimes.

That’s a serious lock. Here in the states they just pick the bike up with some straps and put in a van. A friend had his lifted from driveway in daylight. Neighbors thought he was having it worked on. I saved one iPhone when upgrading and hid it under seat.

This is also a problem in England. I spoke to a journalist in London recently who had his Triumph Rocket stolen!😳

Having had to angle grind the lock of several of my daughters mopeds and bikes, due to lost keys, thank god for cheap locks and battery grinders😁. Future sounds great

Escaping the UK for a couple of months then returning when it’s less cold seems like a good plan. Singapore, Indonesia and Bali great destinations. Many years ago I island hopped from Lombok up to Northern Sumatra over 6 months. It was magical seeing pristine rainforests and jungle. I doubt much of them remain now all cut down for their wood, thousands, millions of animals and plants killed and skins sold, destroyed or displaced all for palm oil. Heart breaking. Will probably never ever go back. Sabah and Mount Kinabalu was stunningly beautiful. Better to be safe than sorry with the helmets. You need a very large Givi top box to lock them in on the back of your Bonneville. The non functioning Indian visa website doesn’t surprise me. It’s typical for the country. With travel insurance make sure you are 1) covered to ride a motorcycle with Monika as pillion and 2) should the worst happen whether whilst riding or otherwise and you or Monika were seriously injured or killed that any policy INCLUDES REPATRIATION to the UK by air ambulance or similar. Many travel insurance policies don’t now to cut costs. Check the small print. Have a great time.

You love your old things. In Bali you can buy a hand made suiet case with all the straps etc For next to nothing. Go out with nothing. Come back with loads. So much fun.

Getting my India work visa took almost three months 🙄🙄 but that was before they were available online. But I also did here that the online visa site can be finicky with certain browsers., like Chrome 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ looking forward to watching your journey 👍👍👍👍 be safe 😊

The way to get an Indian visa is to do it in person at an embassy, make an appointment,check what you need and roll up on the day. It may take 6 or 7 hrs but it’s job done. Some friends of ours go to Goa for a month, they’re there now and they always do it in person in Birmingham.

Nice work Freddie, much appreciate & enjoy your videos, great motorcycles and good music, I’ve been motorcycling since 1965, first on a Honda 250 scrambler, then I moved up to a Triumph 650 TR6 C ‘Desert Sled’ big bike for those days and one of my all time favorites, then Spanish made Bultaco Pursang, more Hondas- with the finally one being a 1979? CBX 1000 6 cylinder straight across, 6 carbs, 6 exhaust pipes 24 valves, loved that bike, then on to BMW’s. Being older now I’m feeling the need to reduce weight and size, seriously considering a Triumph, so I treasure all your reviews and perspective, your leading me into a Bonneville T120, any suggestions on a particular year for an older gent ?

We are very much looking forward to your Bali travels, Freddie. Very envious. Is that beige jacket a motorcycle jacket, surprised you weren't freezing!? Mind you I'm a wimp with the cold.

Nothing is even close to angke grinder proof but they can use materials that make it take longer and chew up the discs, it won’t hurt the grinder itself though so any seasoned thief will be ready for that, but that’s the case with anything

The lite lock gets a good rating on Bennett’s bike social & I think they have a KZread video on it . Think they put it through its paces , think theirs 2different sizes & they try to mount it through the wheel & round the fork . If just through the wheel they just cut the wheel. Check it out for peace of mind.

Nice video, Freddie. You on your Bonny reminds me of me on my Guzzi v7. I luv my ride but at 6’ tall I often feel like a bear riding a circus bike. Does your Bonny not feel a bit similar or have you mod’d it (seat/pegs) for a wee better fit?

I haven’t modded it, but my touring seat (in this video) is very chunky (both wide and cushioned) and helps a lot👌🏻

Spot on; the Daytona Cruiser helmet. It’s an American brand and eBay’s a great place to find them (about £110)

Interesting the visa issue. I’m late commenting because I’ve just got home from India. Many hotels are empty because of visa issues many Indians appear angry with their Government for the ongoing visa problems. If you get a chance do go .

Sing and Bali. Fantastic. Go with a light bag. You get the very best for 1/3 Amazing linnen etc. You will fill your s cases for friends etc. In Bali stay off the beaten track. Out of the city. Amazing Amazing people.

Hmmmm, I haven’t felt the need to upgrade, although I do change my mind quite often!😆

Travel shirts? Look to the golf World. Polo shirts made with wicking material keep you cool, toll up really small and can be hand washed. Never saw Sam Torrence looking scruffy, did you? Discount sport shops. Safe, happy travels 👍

I like the idea of a good lock but if it's angle grinder proof what happens when the lock jams or you mislay the keys 😲, also got to be a full face helmet or may aswell keep the helmet lock.

I think there is a problem with visa between India and UK for everyone and you can't do it online. You have to do it in person or use an in person service.

Some cameras, like the Insta360, records everything around it, and you choose which angles you want when editing.

I remember having problems with my Indian visa, in the end I managed to get it to work by using 3g/4g rather than WiFi on my phone?
