58 years old. Passed my test April 2023. Went straight to the R E dealership and paid the remainder of the price for my classic 350 Signals. Just booked in my 6000 mile service. Bloody love my thumper. 100 smiles to the gallon. Just gutted I left it so late. I've been surrounded by seriously expensive machines and everyone loves mine. Quite funny actually. 😂 A great talking point. Royal Enfield have truly made a winner! Just wish my old dad could have seen what R E are making these days. He was a biker and instructor for years. Hi super little bimble round the country lanes I love that sort of trip relaxing and gives you chance to think about life and different things that might be on your mind with normal life and the state that the uk is in at the moment plus not much traffic to worry about either and the perfect bike for the job take care ride safe

Hello Dave. In place of paper os maps I use Anquet os mapping on my tablet to find those hidden lanes. I carry it with me on rides. Oddly you don't need an Internet connection once you've got them downloaded. However you find them though they're so good to ride 👍

Satnavs seem to delight in taking us the wrong way, Dave. Mine's called Gertie and she frequently gets it wrong. Going through Brisbane a couple of years ago she took me on three successive left turns on a triangular course, so that I ended up back on the original road and at the same start point! I would make comment about a female sense of direction, but doubtless that would draw the ire of those sensitive souls bereft of a sense of humour... 🤣

Very nice tour. I prefer seeing wind turbines to smoke stacks. We have similar circumstances. I bought my Meteor Fireball in the fall of 2021 and then sold my R1100RT the following spring for the same reasons. I chap walked up to me today to look at my bike. It was the first RE he had seen. He said he purchased a Triumph 1200 last year for 20 thousand CAD . His jaw dropped when I told what I paid for my 350. Cheers 🥃

Off to do some Rural Sheffield bits in the morning, probably start at Low Bradfield and film some of journey home which is direction I haven’t done previously Put a route in my Beeline

Hi, yes standard exhaust and air filter. It did have the KN filter when I bought it, I changed it back to standard, I think it sounds better and couldn't tell any difference in performance. Ride safe, Dave

Another nice ride out Dave, I was out for a short run on Wednesday (West Wales) Nice day but I got cold after a while, we need some higher temperatures. I see you are still wearing Winter gloves. 👍

A great bimble around that area, don’t really know my way around there. Where do you recommend for a coffee stop there? I also get the shorts from Andy Tiernan. Some nice stuff. Don’t know if you have seen Volcanic Brown’s vids,but he used to work there & stills visits & did a vid not too long ago walking around the place. Really interesting if you are into Brit bikes & ‘old style’ bike shops.

Ok, I managed to follow as far as just before Silkstone Common, but where was that lovely lane alongside the stream some way before Ingbirchworth.

@@thatblokeonamotorbike Brilliant that, thanks a lot, it was just up Carr Lane, although on Google Maps there is much more foliage, so it's less "open". That section from Silkstone to Ingbirchworth is the only bit I've never travelled. The back way through Pilley avoiding the Birdwell nightmare junction I use a lot. If you see a fat old bloke with a beard on a scruffy old black Norton Dommi or Brough Superior around the lanes it's probably me.

My 350 in halcyon green is now at Peterborough Harley centre and will soon be on its way to me in Wolverhampton. I was reading through the manual and learned some interesting things from Royal Enfield . It said don’t fill the petrol tank any higher than the bottom of the splash plate because of fuel expansion. Have you got a manual because I can send you one if you can tell how?

Hi, I do have one thanks, the other thing I found is if you fill the tank too high, it can leak when on the side stand. I bet you're really exited now it's so close . Stay safe, Dave

A very nice ride, until you came to what you call windmills. I had a picture of the windmills you find in Holland but, to my dismay, no. In Canada we call them wind turbines and mostly despise them as they destroy the landscape views.

Its MrT what type of rear carrier do u have on motorcycle is it genuine royal enfield as I was wandering if the carrier rear hand grip is higher than original hand grip that comes with motorcycle thank you
