Brilliant mate u r a star, i was born and bred two minutes from there, used to go up the Quay meadow at the back of the castle, smoking weed and tripping off our boxes at the age of 13/14, and when we started going to night clubs and we copped off,we would ask them if they wanted to come to the quay meadow disco, they knew what was gonna happen, a roll about on the priory hill 😆😆😆, excellent job Billy 👌💯 love it my town were i was born and bred, and I had a nickname back then I was called PIGSY ha ha , I remember someone escaping from there, he was the first person to escape in something like 200 years, did he break his arm or leg, Lancaster castle has the thickest walls in England, and when it closed they had a rave in the jail, how ironic is that absolute madness, great vid though Billy 👌💯 thanks mate you're a top man love what you doing Billy,❤️🤍💙.

I lived in Lancaster for 8 years. Genuinely really nice city to live in (and as you say, there are some rougher areas, but even those aren't that bad really). Just the right size to be friendly, but also have plenty to do and it's well connected. Saying that, I never did do a proper guided tour around the castle, although I did my jury service there so I did see some of the bits that tours might not get to see.

Dr Ruxton lived in Lancaster. Up in Moffat 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 There’s a place called “Ruxtons dump” He chopped someone up, threw the parts over a bridge into what he thought was a fast flowing river, it was pitch black dark and it was a tiny stream. My wife’s dad and some family were from Moffat and she told me the story of it. I think it was in the 1960’s it happened. What a beautiful but macabre building at the same time. Cheers Billy. @@Matty1994 yeah that's true, they were doing building work at the time, that's were the ladder came from, i don't remember anyone else escaping, but I think the lad heard something about his missus and he broke his arm or leg getting out, but it was the first escape in like 200 years, but there could of been a different escape that I forgot about, but if I got facts I'd remember, used to go up there all the time when I was younger, the prisoners used to throw a line down at the same tree, and someone would tie drugs on the line and it would shoot back up, and one time it got stuck in the tree and it looked like a pair of knackers swinging in the tree, and then one time I just happened to be walking past again, and a load of screw's ran round from both sides with dogs, but luckily the guys tieing the line escaped in a car, cos someone at the window shouted down, that it was on top and do one quick, so the two fellas ran to their car, i think they were Scottish, tall ginger hair with glasses 😆😆👌💯.
