    I remember Carna with the 141s when the likes of the Ayatolla Frank Murphy was a driver...Nowadays not too many Carna drivers can even speak english...

    yeah east west were one of the best companies in Ireland, most people that worked there reckon it was the best job they ever had, they had great plant and it looked the dogs b_lls ;-)

    What happened to UK trucking industry?I did it for two years from 2006 till 2008 and the money was very nice,19 pounds an hour plus 70 pound night out.I have now noticed its mostly Polish,where did the British Drivers Go?or are they in Canada?

    Ralph Ralefeta I think the wages went on a downward spiral when the cheap labour came in and it wasn't worth drivers staying away from home for average wages. The wages in Canada aren't great either unless you're driving Day and night lad.

    This is what I don't understand why companies are so greedy and don't even care about its drivers.In 2006 the wages were 19 pounds per hour,I thought right now in 2018 British drivers were earning atleast 80 pounds an hour

    What?is it true they earn that much?I used to work for a mother and son company in 2006 but it went belly up during recession and I went to the buses.What about Eddie Stabbart? is'nt he paying well?
