Bachmann finally got it right with their interior lighting. It's nice and bright not like in their previous passenger cars with the dim yellow lighting.

I like the dimmer lighting looks more realistic on older passenger cars anyways… not sure how bright new passenger cars are only been on vintage trains

@scottmcclure4253 I agree as far as the old passenger cars from the time period of no electricity. However amtrak cars should not have that type of lighting as well as any other modern day passenger cars.

I have been running my venture coaches for the last 4 days, some problems I have found. The rolling is not good because the electric pick ups are on every wheel instead of the axle. The extra couplers ( tighter seal between cars ) they are very sensitive over uneven track or tight curves and uncouple easily. The plastic air hoses are very long and sometimes snag on turnouts if you have uneven track. But overall the detail is incredible and the individual control of marker lights is the cherry on top.

Never thought I would hear of such great things of bachman. I have three of these venture cars, one amfleet and one SC44 for my condensed River Runner. They are better coming from bachman but 89.99 per car, I am sure Rapido or Genesis could do better.

They are nice....but the MSP is little out of my budget $149.00 to $169.00 per car and loco is close to $400.00 😮

Nice looking passenger cars. Bachman look like they have lifted their game with detail. and not toy like. One small matter I would have thought a simple light swich under the car would have been better than the roof hatch which will we either damaged or lost . Interesting to see what you guys think. Very nice review, as usual. Not much reverb on the horn. I would add some. Bachmann is very tidy to have this for HO people so soon after AMTRAK ordered them and started to deploy.

Dang it I just bought all the last models.. guess I need these new ones too 😆

If only Bachmann would make this in Brightline paint scheme

Any suggestions of bringing the cars a bit closer? They seemed to be a little bit far apart from each end to end cars.

Great detail, and thankfully they roll nicely.. But it's time American producers of passenger rollingstock address close coupling. Or at least adjustable. The gap is horrendous.

I got mine about a week ago. Wish they rolled better. Lots of resistance. Going to install a keep alive for the interior lighting. Any chance you want to sell your Atlas AEM-7 Gold version? I need one badly.

yep they are making leaps and strides towards the best producers of Amtrak models among other things.

@@jlwii2000 The great thing about model railroading is that it has turned into an “art” in and of itself. It’s not a toy hobby of the 1960’s anymore. In other words, and I hate to use this phrase, but it has become more of a “well to do” type of hobby. A large part of the manufacturer’s, such as Rapido, now want to take preliminary orders to get an idea of how much models they should build; even if it is to see if it is economical to even embark on it. The great thing about all of this, is that it has forced any manufacturer that wants to contribute to this business, to “up their game” in quality. That is a great thing. I personally love the way that model railroaders are so discriminating in how everyone wants each and every loco, rolling stock, etc. to be as perfect as possible. This is why I call it an art as well as a hobby. Thanks, James

Put to shame by cousin company Bachmann Branchline in UK and Europe which had reliability and better detail 20 years ago. Separate management buto both companies owned by Kader in China. Bachmann USA models built to lower price point standard. A Bachmann USA management decision.

for $150 retail, they are garbage. Bachmann is always good at being a disappointing company. You can buy superior detailed passenger cars for far less than what this terrible company continues to produce.
