My daughter wanted to do this degree but now she has decided to just go study teaching so that she can go to China and start earning and saving to get ahead quicker. Great content!

She can actually carry on with b of social sciences and than do pgce for a year after. I have a video here on KZread too explaining what pgce is. On her bss she can just pick two teaching subjects to major in. Maybe sociology, tourism, English, history or geography. I’m also a teacher in China so she must stick around we always help with info 👌

Im planning on studying Bachelor of social science in social anthropology...is that worth it I do although plan on changing/majoring into medical anthropology..

I wouldn’t encourage anyone for that path employment wise but it seems you have a plan already so stick to it. My advice is do 2 other modules with anthropology so you can atleast go via pgce should things don’t go as planned

Hi,im currently studying a BSocSci Economics & Politics and Governance with the intention of getting into investment banking/corporate finance. In your opinion, would it be smarter to try and transfer to commerce/business science or continue with this qualification and then do a BCom (Hons) in banking and investments or BCom(Hons) Economics? (Im a first year)

It would be harder for institutions to take you kwi honors ye com from bsos sci. Transfer now and atleast some modules will be credited for b com

Psychology allows you to teach lo so you need another module to level 2. What other modules you doing?

Languages, history, art , drama , linguistics… all subjects that are available on the nsc list and match with ba.

I'm thinking of studying a ba in geography do you think its worth it?

Yep go for it, after it do pgce n major in geography n tourism or a language. Other plugs is do nosa afterwards and also do environmental management modules. In ukzn the structure is set for geography so I don’t know where you will do it but just plan it like that.

Human settlement is a subsection in geography , you just study how human settlements are in South Africa or anywhere, from urban to rural, migration, urban sprawl for example currently in sa people are moving away from the city to build mansions in rural areas . So ufunda all about those staff , population stats, income in those communities…

Is it possible to switch to medicine with a bss degree? sir

Only with nursing you can do that also after completing nursing. You can only get into medicine if your marks are good by just re applying otherwise nope.
