It's not just that this suite is played so well and on so many period instruments -- it's one of the few, if not the only one that makes you feel as if Baroque dancers could have actually danced to the music instead of it being a clinical rendition of the music as written.

Haven't been able to find a better interpretation than this one. A perfect and balanced performance. Just the right tempo and what an interaction. I have listened to performances where the piece is performed too quickly or too slowly which ruins the whole experience. Thanks to Genevieve, the conductor and of course to the well playing orchestra!

Beautiful performance! I'm a bit disappointed that the Piano Forte or Harpsichord didn't have it's own Microphone. It is the only inaudible instrument here.

I like the tempo of the Badinerie. I have heard many different versions. But a lot of them were played mich too quick. This version ist just fine. Remember: It is a dance and Not heavy metal or something like that.

quality performance, great authenticity of the period instruments. Good speed and arrangement as well. A shame that the sound quality of the actual upload is poor. Maybe has something to do the capture method used in the actual performance? Such excellence in music performance needs to be finished off with a good quality audio upload.

What is that instrument the man in the front row is playing? It looks to be about the size of a large cello, but it has five strings, and frets. Edit: Just noticed the bass has frets as well.
