Bacalaitos are a true Puerto Rican staple. These were something had at family get togethers as an appetizer, and the times we visited the island it self this was one of the most popular road side foods you could get. For those who don't know what it is that's ok lol. These are Salted Cod Fritters.
Bacalaitos are actually a pretty simple recipe to make. There have been several times I have made these and brought them into work and had them devoured by co-workers. Truth is this is not just a recipe for the Puerto Rican followers out there, it is a recipe for anyone who likes really good food!

Average Guy's Gourmet ....thanks for this EASY recipe. I never knew it was this simple!
Going to make a batch of these as a starter for a sea food themed Ayisien dinner for a couple of my friends in two weeks. In kreyol they are called "Accra de Morue" but exactly the same thing. I used to destroy them when my mother used to make them.
I would love to marry a guy that could cook good like this so that we can make dinner together😍!! Your an awesome cook!

Darn I'm three years too late. I'm a single dad! You have to know how to cook in my situation!
How I save the rest of the mix and for how long?

I haven't tried to save any batter before I always have used it all. Sorry I wasn't able to help on this one.
So, did you use raw or cooked cod?
