Guys, he's been a wildlife film maker for a while. He knows he's not literally integrated into the pack or left to watch the pups. He means he is thrilled the wolves are so tolerant towards his presence (rather than weary) and did not deem it necessary to relocate their den (because they could, the pups are large enough). If the wolves were upset by him or felt he would harm their pups, they would retaliate or move the den.

Why are a bunch of commenters on KZread trying to tell a PROFESSIONAL naturalist that he hasn't actually assimilated into the pack? We are by no means experts, especially compared to this guy, so why do we think we understand animals when we have never been by them? How cute is that? Luna and Atka are a great parents who love their wolf pups very much. Gordon Buchanan sounds a little bit like Hagrid with a sinus infection. 🤣
