Ruka, ASA, and Ahyeon are rappers. Chiquita is also learning to rap so be prepared one day she will be spitting bars. It's crazy that she is only 15 and serving and slaying this hard so young.

Actually, at their fan meet in Bangkok, Day 2 Chiquita and Pharita both rapped during their encore performances. Rami also rapped in Singapore as well. So don't be surprised if we hear these young ladies spittin bars soon. The talent of these kids...Wow!!!

YG released a vid a couple of weeks before "Like That" and "King Kong" dropped to update the fans on BM and Treasure plans for 2024. He said that this track was a pre-release for the album coming in Sept-Oct. It's supposed to be a full album whatever that means, but I'm sure this song will be on it.

This is one and only song from the new album coming early Autumn. I am happy you were able to see the progression in their music and more from this really young group age wise and experience. Great review

It took me all day to figure out the melody from the beginning of the chorus. It reminds me of Feel this moment- Christina Aguilera. The same director of Ive's I AM is the one who directed this. I agree this is a great start in the right direction for them. If this is the pre-release single for their full album I am scared for the title track.

Thank you that helped. "Feel This Moment" interpolates the hook from Norwegian synthpop band a-ha's 1985 hit "Take On Me". That might be the one.

@@Guthwulf11 Yes that one! Thank you! The Christina song The one song popped in my head first cause it's the most recent! I was born in the early 90's and knew it had an older sound from 80's-90's melody I couldn't put my finger on it.

Nice reaction and commentary as always. Glad you liked this one. Can somebody tell me what 80s popsong melody they used in the chorus? Thats a sample, right? Currently Babymonster is on their "SEE YOU THERE" Fan Meeting Tour across Asia (which basically is a concert tour, since they perform their songs on those shows). Their full album is announced to release in October as far as I remember. Small side note: The ending of the MV leads into the beginning of the MV. So it is a bit of a loop ... If you want to dive deeper now: One strong suggestion for you would be the "Making Of" for Sheesh (on the official YG channel), which introduces the people behind the scenes (especially producer Choice37 and his team). It even gives a glimpse into an earlier alternate version of parts of the song and into the things they struggled with. They also have extensive (multipart) behind the scenes and group reactions for their MVs, but that might be better for later. If you want to get a better impression on their group dynamics and personalities (relearning their names on the way) I would suggest things like their two "Baemon TV Haunted House" episodes and their "Idol Human Theater" episode. They also have a fun "Knowing Bros" episode. Of course there is still also the predebut "survival" show Last Evaluation, but thats a bit of a time commitment. You could just watch the performances from that show. You're also still missing "Dream" their predebut MV thats really different from the usual YG style (but that MV would be for Patreon only, since it usually gets blocked on KZread). I would also heavily suggest some of their true live performances especially for Sheesh. Their music show performances are fine as well. Regarding the comments on your last reaction: I hope I didn't come across as "mean"? I'm here because you're honest and I have the impression we can have constructive discussions even when we disagree. I'm not here to just get my own opinion echoed back to me. I have to admit that sometimes your remarks towards YG the company and person can get a little bit annoying. I might be totally wrong, but I have the honest impression, that your opinion on YG somewhat (negatively) colors the way you treat and see their artists (now Babymonster but I noticed it earlier with Blackpink as well). For example your remarks about a lack of Babymonster content on "Like That" where just silly, since they released a lot of content (a lot more than many other groups). You just didn't watch it. I also still remember the time it took until you watched the Babymonster introductions that I had entered as Patreon requests a long time ago. It felt to me a bit as if you didn't want to watch them (and that I started to annoy you with those requests). But of course I don't want to be mean or annoying. It would be fine if you're just not interested or don't like their releases / content. The day only has 24 hours and tastes are different.

It wasn't necessarily about the lack of Babymonster content, it was that YG artists in general aren't given much to work with and I expected the same. I'll be happily proven wrong! I will never be convinced that YG, the person not the company, isn't a bad dude. That doesn't influence my view on the artists at all. It's strange, usually K-pop fans are fiending to hate on the label of their favorite group for the smallest reasons, but YG stans lose it if you criticize the labels actions at all. It's very backwards compared to what I'm used to. Also don't worry, you weren't mean haha. I'm fine with taking criticism as long as people are cordial and mature about it. I didn't delay your requests because I didn't want to do Babymonster, not at all, it's just that engaging in a brand new group is a lot for me to deal with mentally haha 😅

@@KpopPrince I can imagine. Adding a new group is a time commitment. The day only has 24 hours, but I think Babymonster is worth that investment. Also, happy to hear that I wasn't "mean" 😄 I believe that almost all CEOs of all huge companies are "bad dudes" to a degree (they want to make money first). I have no real opinion on YG as a person, but the rest of the team behind Babymonster (including the producing team) seems to be very supportive and good. Again: Watch the making of Sheesh, Last Evaluation or all the Behind The Scenes. As far as YG stans: You might have a skewed perspective there, since you seem to be more on the "YG is bad" train of thought (in that bubble). My perspective is the opposite: As a Blink myself it was always "required" to hate on YG. 🤣 Everybody always all the times hated on the label, because that seemed to be the "cool" thing to do. YG (the label) could never do anything right anymore. When they released something "YG style" than it was wrong (because its old). If they tried something different it was also wrong (because that's not "YG" anymore). I think all these stereotypes and hate against whatever YG tipped at some point the balance and provoked an opposite reaction from some people (who grew tired of al lthe hat). So people started to push back against the hate (and overdid that as well of course). I'm sure the truth is somewhere in the middle. YG (the label) is neither good nor bad, its just a company that wants to make money. But I'm sure there are also a lot of passionate people working at YG with the goal to make great music. Additionally we never know what really goes on behind closed doors. We only can speculate. So personally I'm very careful judging or praising the company for anything. Blind hate as well as blind praise towards the company are equally silly.

DREAM was being blocked when it was a pre-release. Since it was not released anywhere else YG usually blocks video reactions until it is officially released as a single. Since the song is now on their mini-album it should be fine to do the reaction for the song.

The two main rappers are Asa and Ruka, though Ahyeon will usually rap at least some and Chiquita is training as a rapper as well (with Asa's help).

This is like a mashup of 2 or 3 songs. The rap ruins the whole song for me, and YG wasting Asa's talent with these cringe lyrics. The vocal parts are great, but this feels like a remix of an old disco song, (I just can't remember the title) mixed with Blackpink's "How you like that" and 2:30 is the melody from SUNMI's Heroine that was also produced by Teddy. Also, the original is "A-ha - Take on Me", also the same song remix version with Pitbull and Xtina - Feel this moment. Overall, this isn't as bad as "BATTER UP" or "SHEESH" was, and without the rap part, this could've been a much better song. I will wait for the new album, because this was actually something different, but I'm still fed up with lazy ass Yang. Also, why Rami didn't have any part except the chorus? She's literally the best vocalist in the group. This happens when a group has more than 5 members, some members will be just bystanders.

BM girls are talented for sure, but YG can't produce good songs, especially rap for years now.
