Good reaction. One of my favorite songs and video’s of Babymetal. Beautiful song. Specifically written for their fans. Called the one. Love them from the first song i did see. Am so lucky to see them live in december. Thanks for this reaction. 🦊

Nice ONE, thanks! 😁 This song means a lot to us, the fans also called The ONE collectively. But this term includes also BABYMETAL (the ladies themselves) and all their staff also called Team BABYMETAL. They told that the hardest part was to focus on the choreo being static at the platform and Moa added that she didn't want to look at the crowd because she would cry and she didn't want her tears to fall on the audience. I'm also glad they used several security measures (unlike at Budokan 2014). Besides the obvious railings, there is a lifeline in the center of the pyramid so they are probably wearing climbing harnesses. Even Su's mic has a wristband safe... I guess it's not polite to end a kitsune by a mic fall. 🤣 Until next time! 🤘🦊

⚡ 💀 💕 /🔺 From what they said after this performance of 'THE ONE', the hardest part wasn't the height, it was to stick to the choreography instead of waving to the people in the crowd below. Those two nights at Yokohama Arena in December 2015 were the final dates of the 2015 BABYMETAL World Tour. There's a little bit of footage from 'Road of Resistance' in this, from the same concerts. The video has the audio from the domestic (Japanese) release of the Metal Resistance album. The international release of the album has an entirely English version. Usually this song is performed in English, even in Japan. More recently they have been starting off with a softer "Unfinished version" before going into the version with guitars and drums. When their producer asked the BABYMETAL members what kinds of things they wanted to do on stage, Su said that she would like to fly. So they came up with the pyramid idea.

Hahaha, “How hard would it be to get little girls into this thing?”. They tricked Babymetal into it with chocolate 😉🤣. Also, when I first watched this performance, I was so entranced by this epic fan tribute song that I didn’t realize the pyramid was moving until mid-song when it was already over the crowd. Damn near lost my mind! 🤯🤘🦊

Great reaction. This was the official video, so the audio was from the album - specifically the Japanese domestic version, so it was the half and half English/Japanese version. The international release had the full English version. As they toured the world they realised their foreign fans must have been studying and learning Japanese to sing along with them. As a mark of their love and respect they decided they must reciprocate and return the compliment by learning a song completely in English. 'The One' is that song - it is dedicated to the fans (who they also named The One) and is effectively their love letter to the fans.

This version of the song was fine for me . Hearing SuMetal sing in both English and Japanese is Awesome .

Looks like every single hand is up doing a Kitsune. This song is special no matter where ever it's performed . One of my favourites was on the 2019 US tour, a close-up fancam of Su it felt very heartwarming, especially as you could see Su was looking at intervidual fans and acknowledging them ❤ 😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼

Moa once said that she had to stop looking down because she had been very moved and didn't want her tears to fall on the audience! A song/anthem for all The One - the Babymetal fanbase, the band, the crew, the girls, all are The One! 🦊🤘🤘🦊

The story goes that Koba asked the girls what they wanted to do for this performance, and they said they wanted to get as close to the fans as possible, because the interaction with the fans is such a huge part of their performances, and they always want to give the fans the best experience possible, so they built this flying triangle contraption so they could go out over the crowd and sing to them. Moa said afterwards that she was trying not to cry because she was worried she would drip on the fans below. I don't think she realizes that a lot of the fans would probably quite okay with that! 😆 Many of their biggest shows in Japan have these kinds of theatrics as part of the performance. It makes it worth traveling all the way to Japan to see them in full flight. I've been to Japan twice to see them, and it's been a mindblowing experience each time. Keep in mind that these aren't little girls, these are trained, experienced professional performers. They might have been young, but they are pros.
