Great reaction. 'Metal Kingdom' is the opening track and intro for the album 'The Other One' they released last March. They used it for the epic, theatrical opening to their 'BABYMETAL Returns' concerts in January last year (their first live concerts in nearly 2 years), but one of the thrones was empty, Su and Moa appeared in theirs, they had not yet revealed a new third member. This video was from their next big concerts just after the album release, at the 'BABYMETAL Begins' concerts on 1st and 2nd April at the PIA Arena. It was the opening number for the second night (Clear Night). This song heralded the start of the new era of the "new" BABYMETAL ... the thrones came up and this time all 3 were occupied. At the end of the first night Momometal had finally been revealed as the third official member, Clear Night was her first concert as an official member. You are right, there is something entirely captivating about them when they are on stage, you can't take your eyes off them ... when you see them in person it is almost a physical thing, they have such a presence, you can't look away they just command your attention.

Great reaction! Yes, their live performances are outstanding in every way! The craftsmanship of their musicians is always top notch, regardless if you watch performances of their early years or recent performances. Stage production is on another level, at least at their shows in Japan. Our Queens though are the vital part of it all. Without them, it would be "just some good, but ordinary, metal music". The contrast they make with their "poppy" singing style AND their appearance (costumes, choreo, look) is the "spice" of the whole thing, the "kawaii metal" thing. Most notably it is Queen Su-Metal´s voice, which makes it so intriguing. Her tone is quite unusual, cutting through the heavy music, and she is able to find the right singing style for any song, every single time. With "Metal Kingdom" she sounds simply EPIC, as the song is meant to be epic. She is able to transport emotions by her voice, as you will hear with every BM song you listen to. I believe she is a genius. Together with the choreo the whole performance sucks you right into the "moment", even if it is just a video. Most people say that, even more so if there´s some cuts into the crowd, which is the final part of a BABYMETAL performance as a whole. They (Su-Metal, Moametal and Momometal) call us, their backing band and themselves "The One". We (the crowds) are an integral part of their performances. And you can feel this, even by just watching a video of a live performance 😉 That feeling is even more intense if you actually see them live, and they don´t necessarily need their monster stage production to achieve this. They tour the US in November, maybe they go to Canada, too.

Great reaction, thanks! This was Momometal's first song at her new job as a full-fledged member after being a backup dancer for almost four years at the time it was filmed in April 2023. Can you imagine how cool is that? It doesn't get better! Well, it does, but you know what I mean. 😁 Yes, they are incredibly captivating, specially when you are there seeing them live in the venue. Their crowd interaction is insane although you can't see it here since it was more a theatrical intro to their show. I got interested mainly because of the music, stayed because of Su-metal's vocals and became a die-hard fan because all of them are incredible professionals. And finally, yes they started very young when they were placed in a school-themed J-pop idol group. Kobametal was one of the producers and he decided to make his crazy idea real while their agency wasn't very... amused 🤣 (so to speak) and they didn't get any extra budget. It was a long shot and this could have had consequences especially for his credibility. But with great effort (performing in small venues and even in shopping malls) they eventually succeed. 🤘🦊

that is idol realm.. leaning towards personal focus, in fact it's kind of similiar to the "rockstar" phenomenon there are a lot of bad excess to that kind of culture (bad influence, fandom etc.), but I think BM done a very good job navigating through that environment and of course it has to stand on a solid, good, beautiful, bad ass, fun, energetic, music, at least for me to got on board since 2014

Those freaking cinematic drone shots make you feel like you're in a movie. There's also a dance choreo version performed first outside of Japan during this recent World Tour and some fans witnessed this even more gorgeous performance, later they did it in their own country at an exclusive show only for fans. There is a live proshot version but with studio album sound in the official channel, we already got a live sound version with the WOWOW broadcast and the released DVD/BD version of BM Begins TOO live at PIA Arena MM 2023 in Yokohama now with the three girls together on stage, which is the version you just saw. We got so many big news and announcements back then, a new official member was announced to come next live shows in April 1st (Fox Day) when returning once again with another headlining shows at PIA ARENA MM Yokohama, if you don't know MomoMetal was the one blessed by the Fox God as a new official member. Also they performed with a new BM mirror unit coming from another world of this metalverse, they got new songs exclusive for them and already did a series of live concerts. Btw none of them comes from Kpop, they're Japanese so they were involved in Jpop music prior to this group, although just one of them, MomoMetal the new member, was part of a Kpop survival show in 2021. You haven't seen their live shows, at least half of their time is normally connected to crowd interaction, I think this was provably one if the biggesr parts thar ymomo had to learn from her. Crowd interaction how do I take control of a snall group in the audience, check their performance and improve their abilities. They are one if the biggest reasons for their huge effect, they nerge the audience to a cohesive unit that operates on commabd and independantly by itself. But this is sonething that you can only guess on some fancams from smaller venues. They often enough drop out of their choreo. In the beginning itvwas simply a memory of their idol times but they are now masters of their craft their teachers never expected.. They started as Idols but in this environment they learbed extremly fast. Koba was shocked when he learned that they would necer have a lack of monitor techs. They kacked some theoretical knowledge in the vegonning but shevhad her ways to get the knoledgevthat she needed

Also, 'Gimmie Chocolate' was recorded in 2014. Su was 17 and Yui and Moa were 15, so of course they had childlike voices. They were kids! Mental midget.
