Honestly, I think most songs are made for performance purposes. Babymetal album songs are like the soundtracks of a movie, if you've never seen the movie just listening to the soundtrack, you are missing the big picture.

That reaction was priceless!!! That was the song that went absolutely viral in 2014 and made Babymetal known around the world. Btw this video has the live concert footage with the studio audio dubbed over it, so it isn’t a real live video. The song holds up to this day and even at 27 Su-metal manages to put in her kawaii voice when they perform this song these days. ❤🤘🦊🔥

Welcome back to the Foxhole 🦊🤘🍫 Nice to see you're back with more BM songs. This is their breakout hit in 2014, for better or worse, either you hated or loved it, this MV got the highest amount of views on their channel, and fans were enjoying this song every night at World Tour 2023/2024, is a hit they don't wanna miss in almost every live performance, hopefully you'll get the chance to see them live, don't miss out the opportunity to feel this experience. Dance choreography and metal has never seen before and an important part of this is thanks to MikikoMetal (aka Mikiko Mizuno) she's behind another famous Jpop group called Perfume and is very well respected sensei with her own group of dance Eleven Play, she was behind Olympic Games ceremony. And the mastermind behind this madness is KobaMetal. This MV isn't actually live version and not even with the usual Kami Band, is studio album version over a live performance which was partially live only on the vocals and choreography with backing track sound. Back in the day, before 2014 mainly, they used to have this backing band called "baby-bones" air playing instruments wearing this skeleton costumes, they didn't have the budget to afford a high level set of real musicians like they have now, so progressively since 2012 they incorporate the real band and leaving the baby-bones behind, they did a great job supporting the girls and giving a show, so shout-out to them for being part of BM story. This was in December 2013 at SuMetal 16th Birthday, the other girls had 14 yo and there was a big party you have seen nothing yet, wait for _"Babymetal Death"_ They're just singing about wanting to eat some chocolate but they worried about the weight just like any other regular girl, there's not so much hidden message behind, they used to have fun songs like these without so much deepness on the lyrics just to have fun and party, but the brutal contrast on this is remarkable, no doubt about it. See you in the mosh'sh pit means go watch Road Of Resistance live in Japan official if you didn't already. Another suggestion to witness a turning point in their career outside of Japan: - Ijime Dame Zettai live at Sonisphere Festival 2014 official. Stay tuned next May 23, another special new collab along with Electric Callboy is coming, they released a cool teaser but without music yet, thou there is a snippet leaked audio. Thanks for sharing this and hope to see you with more BM songs.🦊🤘❤

BM is the strongest now, but BM at this time is the strongest in a different way than BM is today.😆 There are times when MOAMETAL plays tricks during the choreography when SU-METAL is raising her arms and MOAMETAL does the zukkyun. She also grabs SU's ears with her fingers. I believe there is some footage left on the fun cam. This song is sometimes played in the media during Valentine's Day. The giving of chocolate was started by Japanese confectioners and only took root about 50 years ago. It seems that even in Asian countries such as Korea and China, people give chocolates. (Sorry if I am wrong). You are right! The pronunciation of megitsune is me-gi-tsu-ne! Everything about this song is very Japanese: the sound, the lyrics, and the music video. The music video was shot on a 能=Noh stage, the breakdown is based on the old Japanese song "Sakura Sakura," and there is a 琴=koto (Japanese harp) used in the prelude. I think the most important thing is the Japanese perception of キツネ=kitsune, so please do your research.😚 🔥🤘🦊 From🇯🇵

The Girls and the Powerpuff girls have a long history. The correlation was made very early on. There are some fan videos, the Girls meet the PowerPuff girls at least twice. Any links I send will be auto removed.

Great reaction, love the big smile throughout ... and yes, give them all the chocolate (they surely need it to keep the energy levels so high).🍫🍫🍫 This was filmed at the Legend 1997 concert in December 2013 (for Su-metal's 16th birthday), but this is the official video so the audio from the studio was dubbed over the live performance (they were singing live on the day - that is even better). The guys in skeleton suits were called Babybones - they mimed the instruments to a pre-recorded backing track. This was the last big show where they appeared - the Kami Band came on for the encores (the last 5 songs at this show). You will love 'Megitsune' I think, it is a big favourite among the fans and possibly best defines who and what BABYMETAl really are.🦊

There are many who say that "Gimme Chocolate!!" isn't among BABYMETAL's best songs. I, however, beg to differ: true enough, they have many songs that are better but in my opinion, this song (and "Doki Doki Morning") defines BABYMETAL. They manage to meld the heavy metal and the J-pop kawaii into one outstanding package. The concert itself ("Legend 1997 Apocalypse") was just under 90 minutes long, and this song was about midway through: the seventh of a fifteen song set. Keep rockin’ BABYMETAL!!! KITSUNE UP!!! 🤘🦊🤘

Nice reaction! This was a live performance ("Legend 1997 Su-Metal Seitan Sei", 2013) but the studio audio dubbed over it. They used the same backtrack at their performance, but Su-Metal, Yuimetal and Moametal were live. Later (!) on at that concert the Kami Band joined them and the three song encore was fully live. Regarding performance, hardcore music and fun, you could try "Headbangerrrrr!!!!" from the very same concert for one of your next reaction😉 Not as kawaii as GC, but they talk about being 15 years old and heavy metal things... 😉 A shortcut regarding your research: "Kitsune" means "Fox". "Megitsune" means "female Fox". You will see what it´s all about when you watch the "Megitsune" MV 😄

Awesome! To me, this song is basically a Snickers commercial on steroids, teaching Moms and Dads how much of a Diva their daughters will become without chocolate. 🤣🤣 I'm excited for you to check your giant list of songs haha. Thus far, you've done 3 of their "fun and goofy" songs. You've yet to experience Baybmetal's epic, anthemic, melodic, soul-crushingly emotional, and hard hitting ones. There's a good reason why teenage girls in Babymetal cosplay to full bearded, tatted up, biker looking hardcore metal heads from around the world all dance to Babymetal alike at their shows 😆. And the mosh pits are somethin' else... Looking forward to your Megitsune reaction. It means "female fox", and the song is a female empowerment song. I know you said you'll do the research, so be sure to read up on the lyrics too, for me, it turned a great song into a timeless classic. Megitsune is Babymetals most performed song, well over 340+ times live to date (since 2013). 🤘🦊

Nice reaction as always. This was the first BabyMetal I saw back in 2014 when they first went viral outside of Japan. To be honest I preferred IDZ as this was a bit too cutesy for me at the time but it's pure BabyMetal; who else would do a metal song about wanting chocolate? There's an interesting live version where they are backed by Dragonforce, who heavily influenced the early part of their careers kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y56TrpaOfJi8nZM.html Megitsune is a good choice for the next.

⚡ 💀 💕 / 🍫 💝 BABYMETAL have been joined on stage for this song by members of Korn, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and DragonForce. Not all at the same time of course. : ) This whole concept of combining JPop music with metal could have been a disaster, but the quality of the singing, songwriting, choreography and staging take it to another level. 'Gimme Chocolate!!' is definitely one of their "poppier" tracks. Even so, that blast beat gets you. And the whole thing is about 10x heavier live. This is the studio track over the live 'LEGEND 1997' concert footage which celebrated Su-metal's 16th birthday. That was actually the world premiere of this song. Of course the choreography, etc. is already dialed in. Su's vocals at the live concert sounded great, they could have used that for the video. This show started off with the "Baby Bones" guys in skeleton suits pretending to play instruments, including this song, but the live Kami Band finished the show with a five song encore. The KZread music video currently has a little over 190 million views.
