The same thing happened to me with my first pregnancy (13 years ago lol ) I was having contractions every 5 minutes and went to the er . They kept sending me home though , but kept me the 3 rd time I went . At the last er visit I was at a 2 but I had been 2 cm since the first er visit . The last er visit they kept me and the dr gave me pitocin and broke my water . I dialated to 6 and had to get an emergency c section because my daughters heart rate kept dropping with each contraction . My baby was not struggling with contractions before they gave me the pitocin. I honestly feel like that office was just tired of me coming up there and forced my labor to progress faster . The best time for the baby to come is when it’s ready to come , so I’m happy you have good drs cause some will force labor . At 37 weeks with my son (3rd pregnancy) once I started to dilate I started to do a lot of walking and went from a 1 to a 3 in like 2 days ! Contractions were non stop and so painful the last night I walked I couldn’t sleep , and I had my baby the next day . And since my first pregnancy I decline pitocin if it’s offered . There are more natural ways to dilate than the meds forcing it . Glad to finally here from you ! I thought u delivered already !
