I love hearing Birth Stories! I have 4 unmedicated births at the hospital by choice! It is such a powerful experience! The worst pain of my LIFE but the only way I could ever imagine giving birth! I love meeting other mamas that have done it! We are lucky to get to experience it like that!🦸‍♀️I took lamase and used two of the breaths they taught and they helped alot to manage the pain!

I have a 13 and 9 years old boys and which all this information was available in my finger tips back then. My first birth was horrible, painful long and screamed my lungs out. I was in labor for 48 hours and at the end had a C-section. My other son the water broke in the hospital and due to horrible staff, decided to get another C-section. I will never forget the day my boys were born and will never do it again. I am glad you had an amazing experience and was able to bring a gorgeous baby boy into your family. Congratulations!!!!

I loved listening to your birth story! I had one medicated and one unmedicated birth, both in a hospital. I had an epidural with my first because I was tired out and unprepared for the unmedicated birth I wanted, and I did not love the epidural. So, for my daughter I got a doula and did the low frequency noise which seemed like a miracle tool to me. I didn’t even feel like the contractions really hurt as long as I kept my breath and the noise low. Felt so empowered and am so glad I had another baby so I could experience that intensely powerful feeling. Glad your babes are here safe and sound. 😘

Loved hearing your amazing birth story! So similar to mine in so many ways, I too LOVE being pregnant and actually really love the birthing process. In fact I had to wait to watch River's birth story after you posted the video because I knew it was going to make me miss birthing my babies and being pregnant 😄Mine were also unmedicated with midwives. Summit was born at home and Aspen was born in the hospital because her heart rate dropped significantly in the last two weeks of pregnancy and my midwife was concerned. However she was there as my doula and everything went perfect. Aspen came out with a strong heart rate and I had a very positive natural hospital birth which surprised me because I too wasn't interested in birthing in a hospital or any interventions period. However Summit's birth was absolutely amazing at home. I love your feelings on pain, I feel the exact same way, almost welcoming it when it's supposed to be there and knowing I'm capable. I'm also two and through logically thinking, however my brain and body are so wired to want that experience back and to keep having more babies because I love the whole process so much. I'm so glad I watched River's birth story, it sounded so perfect and it brought back all the wonderful feelings I experienced in my pregnancies and laboring my babies. There is nothing else like the primal experience of giving birth, and it's so neat being able to connect with other moms and share our stories❤️Congratulations again on your beautiful baby boy, I can't wait to watch him grow through your videos🥰Also Lucy is going to be the BEST big sister, Aspen was also 3 when Summit was born and they have such a sweet relationship❤️Sorry for the novel comment😆

Thank you Kayla!! I know what you mean about being wired to want to do it again. After I had Lucy I thought that if I had started younger - I could totally see myself being a surrogate. Both your births sound wonderful! 💕

It’s so crazy because when I was going through my contractions, I immediately went to that yoga-breathing technique you described like instinctively! Just felt like yoga was what was gonna get me through better than the more vocal breathing. I was due June 1st, but my BP was up at my 39wk visit so they decided to induce me. Malakai arrived 2 days later on May 27th in a whirlwind of activity via forceps lol and I couldn’t be happier ☺️. One thing I don’t think I’ll ever forget was having my first bm (tmi) smh 🤦🏿‍♀️. So glad everything went well for your birth! ❤️

That's so cool! I've found that the things I've learned through yoga have just naturally worked their way into so many other aspects of my life - like posture/movement and roller skating. Congratulations on your baby! You must be right around where I am then and I wish you all the best!! xo

I loved your story, it’s been twenty years sinds i had my last child. We have three. I still can remember a lot of how it was, probebly will never forget this in my life because of the intensety of it. The part of your story about the yoga breathing is so true. It was really helpfull to me in labour. And that sudden pushing i also had. My husband paniced then, because we were alone then . I was in hospital and they are not the whole time with you. It all went well☺️thanks again for your open story, lots of love to you and your beautiful family. Enjoy the most beautiful time in your life, i would do it all over again🥰

Did any of your friends or family members have negative reactions or concerns when you told them you were planning a midwifery birth? I feel like there is a huge misconception that births are always a medical emergency, that home births are for hippies, etc. it absolutely DOES NOT matter what other people have to say about your birthing plan, but I’m curious if you encountered any opposition and how you handled it.

You know, most of the people in my life are pretty down with that whole vibe. The only weirdness was from some family members. Mostly just in the form of passive aggressive comments, though. So kinda easy to ignore. 😆 "Ok, but what did the DOCTOR say?" "um...you KNOW i'm not seeing a doctor..." And the like. 🤪
