If the child hurts or irritates the elephant by mistake, a slight jerk of the mighty animal can be catastrophic. Elephants are gentle. That doesn't mean it will be in good mood throughout the year.

@@falsch4761 So what? Knowledge and Responsibility are 2 different things. We are only speaking about the responisibilty here. What if, by accident if elephant legs give a blow on childs head or anywhere? Childs have very soft bones and u knew the risk is very high for permanent damages or permanent loss. That is why we said these parents are careless. Even if i have enough knowledge on elephants, i will never do what this parents are doing here. Just my opinion. Thanks!

This is WEIRD. I can tell on the video the child is being prodded to do this. This is UNNATURAL. It is also seen by this poor elephant as unnatural, and obviously she has a calf that she is nursing. If it's so grossly fun for the people involved in this video(,except the child/children)....Then have a nursing human Mom try and breast feed a baby elephant. I am of course kidding, but this is a huge injustice not only to the child but the elephant and her baby. Be sure that this child will have this memory all her life, and may do this again and again.
