Baby Seal Drags Bucket

Unbelievable! The line was so tight around the seal’s neck and not cutting it yet. Seeing the seal fill up with air after the last line was cut was such a huge relief. There are many reasons why this seal would not have made it back to shore, for example, with water getting in the bucket, etc. Every time we find such mind-boggling entanglements, it raises immense concern about how many animals never make it, so this baby seal is really lucky.

That bucket was too heavy for the seal to drag through the sand for long, but can you imagine how heavy it must have been, filled with water, when he was trying to swim? And the rope/line twisting more and more tightly around his neck, cutting off his air.... He didn't have much time left, thank you for saving him!🙏❤

I show these videos to the kids around here and they love seeing all the seals, but like any good person, they feel awful seeing them wrapped up in these things. I tell them "You can help prevent it by cutting up long cords, not using the ground as a garbage can, and recycling properly!" and I hope it helps make an impact.

Humans are the culprits who messed up and harmed wildlife. What a nice rescue. People who save 2 seals are real-life unsung heroes. Respect.

You guys have been doing this for years but never seem to run out of seals to rescue from entanglement, I wonder if its only the one or two beaches you work on, those poor seals must swim in waters that seems to be made of spaghetti. Good work guys 👍 but also sad that you have to keep doing this.

Thanks for rescuing that poor baby. (Well, maybe a teenager.) He didn't have much more time.

A rare circumstance where we could see the entangled pup, but the rescuer lost it in the stampede. Really brings to light how keen eyed they all are.
