I love how they wiggle to bury themselves. It’s so cool and so adorable! Edit: I’ve realized finding snakes cute is a very polarizing topic. I find them adorable and I love their tiny little faces, but it’s ok for people to also find them gross. My mom hates snakes and we are kinda programmed to fear things that could be dangerous to us. But if you hate snakes I’d recommend doing some research on them. It may not change your mind but they are truly fascinating creatures who really don’t deserve so much hate.

I think I have an explanation for this. In the white sprinkles, the baby might know it stands out, so it starts to become defensive as a way to detour predators from attacking. However, the adult doesn't do this and instead burries itself because it knows that it doesn't matter if it stands out ABOVE ground, as it can just burry itself and hide. Chances are the instincts are in the baby, but it hasn't learned how to effectively burry itself quick enough to hide.

“I am comfy” had me dying
I think I have an explanation for this. In the white sprinkles, the baby might know it stands out, so it starts to become defensive as a way to detour predators from attacking. However, the adult doesn't do this and instead burries itself because it knows that it doesn't matter if it stands out ABOVE ground, as it can just burry itself and hide. Chances are the instincts are in the baby, but it hasn't learned how to effectively burry itself quick enough to hide.

Don't think it's that complicated, it's a baby and can't decipher as accurately as the adult the level of danger so he's defensive towards anything it sees.
