A friend of mine had a baby last week. My friend's name is Bláthnaid (blaw-nid) which means "little flower" or "blossom" in Irish. She named her daughter Theadora Bridie Blossom! I just had to share with you and the community a) because I think it is such a beautiful name and b) because I know that Blossom is Evelina's middle name!

When I substitute taught many years ago, all the elementary children loved Amelia Bedelia. Even though she was so clumsy and goofy, she was such a lovable character. The children couldn’t wait until another book came out to see what misadventures she came up against and how she got out of those situations. Such a cool and fun book. Very highly recommended for a fun read!!!!

3 really cute names from a book series I grew up with is “Ramona” “Beatrice” and “Roberta”, the sisters from the Ramona and Beezus book series. It makes me remember being in first grade and my teacher letting me borrow them one by one from her personal collection to read at home! Her name is Mrs. Carlton and she was truly one of the greatest teachers that supported all of her students in what ever academic field they loved whether it was reading, writing, math, or art! She got me reading and writing stories by the end of that year and even though I’m 18 now no one can get me to stop writing stories 😂 so there’s the little back story of those 3 names!

I really like Lyra, the books were pretty awesome and I love the idea of daemon. Pan was sooooo cute 😊 I'd rather choose Coraline if it were pronounced the way you did :3 Mr. Gaiman got some pretty nice female names in his books. Ivaine and Oonagh or Una sound quite sweet, too, though I'd probably choose them for characters rather than babies ^^' Some names from Astrid Lindgren's books would probably make my list, too. I somehow really like Birk or Birka for a girl. Some more common names like Mia or Ida (and those would be reminiscent of my grannies names, too) Another good place to search for names would be Michael Ende's books, I guess. The Neverending Story was the first fantasy book I ever read and I think maybe Auryn or Nessaja would make good names, too. Or Momo? I know that's not a book, but right now I really love Linea, which I first stumbled across when watching "Island of the lost souls". Maja or Maya is another that would make my list for girls (My parents wanted to name me that, but decided against it, because of a rather chubby, cute, little, animated bee, that was rather popular around the time I was born)

I loved this list! So my style of names! I love Coraline and Wilbur so much. One of my favorite children's book names is Flossie from The Bobbsey Twins. I think it would be on trend now, but I haven't seen it out in the wild yet. I also really like Tacy from the Betsy-Tacy books. It's a unique nickname for Anastasia.

When you showed Anne of Green gables I was so excited, but you missed some of my favourite names. Charlotta the fourth works for miss Lavender. She is called Charlotta the fourth because miss Lavender cannot remember the names of the sisters: Charlotta, Julietta, Evelina and Leonora

I LOVE THIS THEME! My husband and I have been planning to name one of our future children Anderson, we love it! I am trying to get him on board with Marlowe for a girl, but no such luck, as of yet. Also, my grandmother was named Ethel Mae and I have always planned to use her middle name as a middle name for a girl, but now I am seriously considering using Ethel for the first time!

I recently found the name "Clowance" for a girl. It took some getting used to, but it's such a classic and beautiful alternative to "Chloe" or "Clover". "Clo" could be a nickname. It just rolls right off the tongue and sounds very lush and whimsical.

My daughter's name is Hedwig - Hedi for short - and it fits her like a glove. We decided on her name in like 5 minutes via messenger and we both instantly fell in love. I love the unusual ending for a girls name. We're not even thinking about another child but in my head I'm already wondering about another old school book characters name for nr 2, so this list is gold
