Baby Horse RUNS! + A Visit With Our Homesteads Horse Herd
Үй жануарлары мен аңдар
This is just a little compilation of iphone videos from the other evening. Just a view of our day to day life on the homestead. We let Patty and her new foal out to pasture and take a walk down to see the herd.
Follow along with our family as we share our life events while living on our 168 acre homestead, farm and stables!
We are all about raising and training our horses, the Missouri Foxtrotter. Our goal is to bring awareness to this breed and showcase just how wonderful they are! We also raise and train our working border collie dogs. And don’t forget the homesteads sheep, goats and mini cattle!!! We also go to occasional auctions and recently have gotten into regenerative farming/agriculture. We are all about learning how to improve our fields/soil.
Phew! That’s a lot! But we love it! Make sure to subscribe to our channel to follow along!

Live baby horse cam would be perfect!
In my opinion, having fun with your horses and letting them have fun too is the PRIMARY reason to own horses!!!
Can't imagine how people can criticize treating your horses with affection. That is one of the loveliest mares I've seen.
Playing with a baby like that gives them confidence and helps them trust you as you contour into training. Enjoying spirited animals only means you have spirit.
It’s flat out wonderful that you play and frolic with your colts!! What a great way to establish a relationship with them 💗. And from watching you train the adult horses, you set standards for their behavior so you have well mannered and safe companions. Loved this video!!
Legacy is a fireball!! Considering how long it took for him to get up and stand after his birth, he’s making up for it now with all his frisking. Beautiful horses and beautiful farm! Thank you!
Looks like he managed to release a lot of pent up energy. Legacy looks like a very confident and cheeky little foal😊❤

A boys got hormones that make him very active. Among other horses in the field only his mother would notice.
He's not ornery just a baby with lots of energy to play.
Play with that baby! He will learn either way, but play is enjoyable for everyone. Having said that, a Foxtrotter is not a draft horse, those foals are a different matter. I spent a summer playing with a Quarter horse TN Walker mixed filly and it helped with her snappy attitude. I was 14 and Granddaddy told me to have at it because she had a Walking horse temperament and the swiftness of a cutting horse and he wasn't going to deal with her. Haven't been around horses in years and I really enjoy your channel. Thanks for sharing!

Missouri foxtrotters are very easy going, sweet tempered horses. This one is just playful lol
I’m with you JR. What’s the point of having animals if you can’t play with them. My horse was my pet just like my dog and cats. ♥️🐴👍😊
I love how you guys deal with the horses. Just look at Oliver, its wonderful to see how he is at home.
What a wonderful way to spend a day off after travel and hard work at a show. Family, friendly horses and their curious -or ornery - foals, green pasture, birdsong, contented sheep and goats enjoying their lives. Thank you for sharing this.
They’re all beautiful!!❤😍 Image’s Legacy is hilarious! 🤣 He was cracking me up and I’m sure he was very happy to run around like a little maniac 😂👍
It seems important to play with the baby horses so you can gain their trust and build their confidence and show them love 💙
Oh my he is a handful ❤. Momma has to keep looking up to find him. What a great momma❤. Love watching all the babies and animals. You do a great job. Never stop touching and playing with the babies. It has taken me 2 years to let my feral cat to trust me and let me pat her. Thanks so much!
I could not think of anything better than being surrounded by the horses, goats, sheep , dogs etc. I miss the farm life. Have a great day.

Me too. I love my Mountain life and all the many wildlife but really miss seeing a cow. Even with moose in my yard taking naps next to my house and a bear rambling through the yard, it's just not the same. Blessed Be. 💕✌️🐄
I wish I had horses I miss them so much you have beautiful place with all your animals never take them for granted 🙏 Enjoy ❤
This little guy is a rascal. It's too bad that people always think they know better and spout off with their opinions. I love watching everyone of your videos. They always make me so happy and forget the troubles that I am experiencing in my life at this time. It's obvious to me that your horses love you and listen to you. That is what counts. Keep on playing with your babies!
Love it when owners connect and play with their horses. There will always be those without a clue. Hug 'em, play and love em ❤❤❤ 😊😊.
I love how you handle and treat your horse..I think we should enjoy our animals after all we spend a lot of time feeding, grooming and caring for them..Plus I think they enjoy it was well..
playing with young animals builds a bond, of trust, love and is a building block for them to become calmer animals when they become adults, keep doing what you do best...
So good to see him up and so feisty and in high spirits. He was a bit wiped out and slow to get up at first, but he's like a Formula One race car now!

I don't understand what would ever be wrong with you playing with the young colt? I found it one of the cutest, most heartwarming videos that you've shared. Even better than several babies chasing each other around the pasture.
He’s going to be a handful. He’s got energy to spare.
Appreciate you filming all of your horses. Those babies are so pretty even the stud in the bunch.
Raising horses, goats, sheep, and puppies looks so rewarding and peaceful.

Wonderful lives, wonderful animals!
Goodness he is perfect. I love how you play with them. You can tell he loves it and will be a lovely boy when he grows up.
Are you sure that little bugger isn't a thoroughbred? He just wants to run, his ears are up, he pays attention to everything, he's seriously curious and apparently has no fear. What a cutie.
Legacy is born to run..needed to burn off all that energy! Remember, Mom, when I did not know how to stand? They are gorgeous together! Your horses are all so beautiful and look so contented. The goats are so darn cute. Love your doggies too. Thanks for sharing!
I know nothing about raising baby horses. I think there is no greater joy than spending time and playing with a baby horse.
Thanks, enjoyed spending my coffee break with the horses. That baby was having big fun!
I think it is great that you have fun with the horses, it shows love, caring and most of all it shows their spirits, Legacy is thinking freedom!!!
Lovely video thank you for sharing, your horses are all beautiful. Nice to see all the foals, they’re growing up so fast you’ll have your hands full!
OMGOODNESS!!! I would love to adopt this sweet baby when weaned!! He's absolutely precious! Our family would actually love to adopt any baby from your family. 🥰🥰🥰

This beautiful colt is doing The equivalent of a dog doing "Zoomies" And I love watching him enjoy his freedom and run as much as I love watching my goofball dogs do it. They're just having fun
OMG, he is adorable! I watched his birth and it's amazing to see how he's growing. Thank you for sharing this video.
That baby's not ornery --- he just has LOTS of energy! He's quite the runner! 😁
Wonderfully enjoyable video! Love seeing your family members and the beautiful Homestead horses and CUTE babies! YES we like what you do.❗️
Legacy looked like he wanted to jump right on top of patty when she was rolling 😂😂😂😂
Oh my goodness, he is sassy! Love him! One of the reasons I watch your channel is because of the love you have for your horses. Don't change. Play with them. Love them. You treat them like the family they are. ❤
'IMAGE'S LEGACY' sure is a BRAVE little FIRE CRACKER!! With the longest legs I've ever seen on a new born colt. JUST BEAUTIFUL!!
I love the way you treat your horses, they are truly well taken care of and they obviously want to be around all of you. Says a lot about your whole family. ❤
They are so majestic and awesome 🐴❣️🐾🐾🦄 The babies are so sweet and silly💋💋💋💋💋🧲❣️
You never know, Legacy could truly become Image’s legacy. He is a handsome boy and has good movements for a foal. Best of luck with all of your foals. God bless. 🌻

He's not ornery he just wants to play. You ❤ take good care of your wonderful animals ❤ ♥ 💙
What a glorious little baby! ❤ Such energy!
You go RJ have s blast with the little guy, they are born to enjoy. ❤❤❤❤
Your attitude - following your own heart, knowledge, experience and gut sense regarding care of and developing loving relationships are admirable and appreciated. Thank you.
Really enjoyed seeing all your horses especially the babies! I can see they are all loved and taken good care of.
Love seeing you and your family enjoy these horses ❤️ I’m so glad I found your channel, it always make me feel good watching your horses, especially my buddy Oliver… God Bless 🙏
Really neat video! We got a good look at a lot of your 🐎 s. That little guy is sure a spitfire! Ignore the people that tell you that you are doing it wrong. They are your horses and you know what works best for them. Loved the 🐐s on the burn pile. Always enjoy seeing Oliver and his little buddy. Have a great day!
I was running and playing with the heifers (I catch you or you catch me!) one beautiful night - and people got scared and wanted to rescue me 🙂 I said. we are playing and are perfectly fine! As long as you know the animals mind and behavior. I love all my memories of playing with my animal-friends - horse, cow, geese, pigs, sheep, goats, cats and dogs, chicken and geese (and when I was really small even groundliving wasps - building a garden around their nest in the ground - to my mothers horror) I read that wasp can identify faces - I believe that! They never hurt me.
Oh my gosh, that little guy is having a blast running around. 😂😅
He is adorable,I don't think I could let him go.Just enjoying his life, everyday is a new one.
Legacy's passionate fire may be an indicator of the next future race horse for the record books! Run boy run! Beautiful MaMa!💕🐴💐🐎 Hello farm family! Sending the best always!
I could imagine how wonderful and fun it must be to be able to run at whim, for the first time.
I could watch those babies play all day. 🐎. He’s a beautiful horse. They’ll always be someone who thinks they know more than you. ✌🏼
I enjoy watching you all interact with your horses. What a pleasure it is. ❤❤🤗
They are all so beautiful, but legacy is going to be a gorgeous show horse. He has the muscular structure of his mom and glorious coloring.
You folks are wonderful
So he's running circles around his mom going "Look mom look! See how fast I'm going?" And Pattys saying "Yes honey, your going really fast , just like your brothers did" . . . I'm watching" as she enjoys grazing. LOL. Parenthood and kid-dom is the same for us all. Fun video!! Legacy is a rascal, channeled and taught well, he will be quite the horse!
My son played with his colt. Even raced him in the pasture on his bicycle. That colt is now a 1,200 pound stallion and the gentlest stallion my old vet has ever seen.

So right. JR knows what he's doing. The sooner and more you handle a foal the easier it will be when training begins. It's fact, just as you and JR know. You have evidence. Would love to see photos of your Stallion. I love that your son rode his bike with him. Very cool. Such JOY. Be Well and Happy.💞✌️🐴🐎😁💜
Great video, always enjoy them. Thanks for sharing.❤❤❤❤❤
Isn't a good thing for a horse to come to you??? Either in pasture or at the gate. I think how you handle your baby's is fantastic ground work for them being great horses 😊😊😊😊😊
At a full run the colt is looking pretty smooth on the back like his mom!
I absolutely love how you are with your animals and they clearly love it too! Thanks so much for posting. ❤
Goat sounds like another Homestead character 😂🥰
How could you ever get bored watching any of your videos ❤
Patty's Colt should be called "The Pistol"❤
Like what you do? Man, JR, I LOVE what you do! How I’d love to join you all with that horsey crowd in the pasture! ❤
Can’t believe how fast that little guy can run
Your horses are beautiful love watching legacy running around in the field,he loves to play and loves his surroundings.
I enjoyed this video of the baby boy horse Legacy running. Thanks 😊 for sharing. ❤
You are doing a wonderful job, cause you listen to God's direction rather then mans. Peace and Love thru Christ!
He's a boy. Can't expect him to act like a filly. He is a cutie.
They are beautiful, I can't forget Oliver 💗
Absolutely Beautiful Mama & Furbaby so Precious He’s eaten his Cheerios ❤️❤️🐴🐴❤️❤️🕊️✨🕊️✨🕊️✨
I love that you play with your foals JR. They’re so much fun. I’ve said it before but wow, Patty looks incredible! What a gorgeous mare, she looks about 10, not 22 😮 Your love and care just oozes out of your horses, they’re stunning and so fit. Keep being you, that’s all we ever can be is true to ourselves. 🙏🏻❤️

She's 22 ???? I didn't know that!! Wow, she looks great. Good lifelong care!
Such a lovely video... All the horses are gorgeous and the foals are absolutely adorable and growing so fast! Patty and Legacy really needed that pasture time... bet he took a long nap afterwards after all those sprints... such a strong boy! 🦋💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🦋
That is one fine foal, a real credit to your breeding. He has all thr markings of a true herd stallion he exudes quality, well done,
Awwwww! He’s just spunky. Definitely full of beans. 💖 He must know that he’s Image’s lag baby & will be spoiled. 😅
Such a joy to watch this little guy run and be silly. I'm 73 and always wanted horses but was never able to do so. Thank you for these beautiful videos. Also I appreciate the prayers, it's what's lacking in our world today. God bless you and your family.
What a beautiful little horse. You need to keep this guy!
He is really something…even if he is just a colt..and he seems very well gaited…lovely strong Boy ❤
All the babies are beautiful, Legacy is full of energy, I loved him when he was running around in circles, and jumping around, he’s funny, Rain is pretty and has a beautiful personality,, all the babies make you laugh. The sheep and goats are funny, all chilling out together in the burnt wood section. You are one happy family, say hello to Oliver and Colt. Missed them this time. Thank you xxxx🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🤣🫠🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑
I would think playing with them would create a wonderful bonding experience.
When children play pretend. I'm race horse. I'm a super hero. Babies are so much fun, every thing they see and do is a first time adventure.
Just beautiful....so enjoy seeing your horses!
JR, you just doing what you’re doing, it obviously works for you and your beautiful horses, they seem to be very well adjusted.
He's having to much fun 😅. Beautiful baby!!!
Legacy circles Patty like he thinks he's a barrel racer! I used to play tag with my horse..we both had fun , no harm ,no foul! You do what you like with your horses! Enjoy!
I've never ridden a horse, never wanted to, never have been around them. But--I really enjoy watching these beautiful creatures; it's the reason I don't eat animals.
Frisky Foal Beautiful, awww just wanna give a kiss❤️❤️🐴🐴❤️❤️🕊️✨🕊️✨🕊️✨
Dont worry about any of our personal opinions, that is all they are. I like the reality of the live aspect, thanks. They are quite lovely
Thanks HH team for a great video. Love the colt's ZOOMIES and joyful KICKS ! ❤️ The Spirit of the horse is irresistible 😃 Warmest greetings from Auckland New Zealand 🇳🇿
When you bathe him would you please record it? I can't imagine him tolerating it much and I would love to see his, 'opinions' about it. 😆
Omg he’s so Cute!❤😂 He looks like he has his Moms Shoulders ❤️
Im not a horse owner or experienced at all with horses but to me you are desensitising him to humans early on so surely can only have a positive impact on his experiences to come. Plus i agree WHO COULD GET BORED WATCHING HIM ❤
I've lived palominos all my life and you have some beauties. Thank-you so much for sharing all your beautiful animals. 👍❤️❤️❤️
