First baby goats of this year, more are to come also sheep babies and maybe even Geese babies! This will be a year full of adventures.

Hey to everyone!!
We are two young adults, Despina 24 and Deivids 25 renovating an old farm house from 1817 in Latvia.
Everything in and out of our house has been done by ourselves with no hired help.
DIY is going to apply to nearly everything in our house. Our budget is tight and that has made us appreciate every “ugly” part of this house and turn it into something new and beautiful.
We give new life to things that others would throw away!
In this journey we are not alone! We are starting up our little Farmily:
7 Goats & 2 Bucks
3 Sheep
4 chickens & 3 Chicks
1 Rooster
and 3 Geese
Oh yeah and our cat Ivi & Dog Keita
Despite our daily problems we are two young people full of joy and happiness, ready to start a new crazy chapter in our life. It wouldn’t be fair to keep this fun just for us!

I agree, despina, they do look smaller than I remember Hoppity when he was born. Remember Snowflake had one little baby that died when you found them in the night,? That baby was this small, I think.

Lol I was watching mine like a hawk, and she had her babies at 6 am in the morning. She had 7 babies!!! But sadly 3 were not alive, but 4 are.

You are going to be such a wonderful human mother one day.
Praying for both babies, but expecially the little boy.
You had signs you just don't know what to look for. Excessive licking, the mom will be licking her lips. Check the udder for filling up and check the ligaments on both sides of her tail bone. Start by pressing your fingers on either side of the tail up by her spine and move your fingers towards her backside going down at an angle. The ligaments will be firm before birth and loosen and relax as birth time nears.

Thank you David, I think Noëlla did a fine job by herself and most of the times animals wait till it's quiet/ nobody around. But thank you for telling about the signs. :)

@@LindaEll89 I wasn't commenting on how well the mom did. I was providing instructional information so they can be better prepared for the times the mom has problems. Goats have more complications with birth than most people know of because it doesn't get exposed. Not many posting about hailed births. Evidently there's a situation with this birth that has yet to be revealed. Having someone knowledgeable in these situations can make the difference . I've been elbow deep in plenty of goats, rectifying difficult births. They were fortunate they had little complication. They could have come back to something much worse. I like these young people, watch all their videos and want them to have continued success. Stop and think for a moment how they would feel if this birth had gone wrong and they weren't prepared.
