Wow as others have said, this is certainly a unique elephant video. My first time seeing this. That mom elephant definitely had a lot of patience with her young son. She's teaching him manners. Edit: I've just realized she continued to feed throughout his tantrum not paying him any mind 🤣

Fiesty baby boy! But mother knows best, and doesn't give into his tantrum. Oh, I wish human mothers were so wise.

She is probably not a first time mom. Multiple births makes you wise and that is constant across all species be it humans or animals.

The baby elephant was sleeping nearby and when I opened my eyes, I saw that the mother was scared and the baby elephant was angry.The little elephant is so loving and angry. Look at it. Look at it. Look at it, mom. Touch it, touch it, move it. The baby is so strong, it is a big elephant, but the videos of the baby elephant being angry with its mother are very good. 🐘🐘 God gifts elephants🐘🐘 🙏🙏🙏

In Sri Lanka, I went for a safari and happen to witness a very naughty baby eli swishing on the mud underneath his mom’s belly.. Afterwards, he refuse to take a bath in the lake although the mother pulled on his trunk. After awhile mom said ok I’m walking away now.. took the baby a good two minutes to realize mom left. Oh the sight of the baby running frantically towards the mom was hilarious! That’s when I realized that the baby eli is exactly like my second son, stubborn and playful. Just like that each baby eli that I witnessed in safaris were unique. Just like humans 🥰

It's not that uncommon actually. When elephants aren't getting enough nutrients which happens frequently during the dry season, they aren't capable of producing enough milk to satisfy the calf's appetite. It can lead to situations like this
