That's the best way to explain it: soul crushing. Seeing him pull against the chain and cry out was horrifying. And then burdened with chains around his neck. Just awful. Elephants are among the most intelligent animals on the planet, capable of a wide range of emotions, so you know that baby elephant was traumatized by that experience. I agree that the people who patronize these services are just as bad as the people who run them. And these animals wouldn't be in chains in the first place if so many people didn't pay for it for their own selfish purposes. It's definitely not a shining light of humanity. Hint: if you have to put chains on something/someone to make them stay they should never be there in the first place.

Animals kill each other you know that right? Mans cruelty...ffs. write a book where the plot twist is that man is the most dangerous animal.

Those adult elephants instantly knew what Tofu had been through and did a great job welcoming & accepting him.

Baby elephant gets freed from chains and has the best reaction when he meets his adoptive mom. It so amazing!!

Ahhh, this baby Elephant ,Tofu, was starving for affection. His new family of Elephants are going to love this little one so much!

People who do this to these innocent animals are the ones who should be in chains. Thanks for rescuing this beautiful creature and giving him a happier life he deserves 🐘💙
