Always been a huge Tracy Chapman fan, never seen this. And Pavarotti, I mean does it get any better? That was freakin epic!!!!

Heard this magnificent duet today. Chills ran allover my body. I have always been a fan of both Chapman and Pavarotti since I was a teenager. Now in my fifties, this is another wonderful masterpiece of music.

When Pavarotti sing your song, you know you did right choices in life.

I think Chapman and Pavarotti have a kinship in that it's just them out there. No music to hide behind. Amazing voices a world apart, but sound so perfect together.

Traci Chapman wrote one of the best opera songs. The melody of this song really takes Pavarotti's voice on such a captivating journey. Her vocals are also amazing.

I am an opera fan, however l never cared for Pavarotti's voice..it always sounded 'tinny' to me.. It didn't have the warmth of Placido Domingo's voice. Also being a huge fan of Tracy Chapman.. this was wonderful to watch & listen to. ❤

I happened upon this extraordinary video today. Honestly, I was curious how these great vocal artists would blend. My Lord, so amazing, so deeply touching. My heart overflowed, and I just erupted. My tears were tears of Joyful amazement.

Whoever came up with the idea of doing this song with them was a genius. Tracy's peace and humbleness shines on that stage. Luciano did not know he was in the presence of greatness

Pavarotti is the standard. A vocal instrument of endless dynamics, range and power. Yet, the man that holds such a treasure, will stand next to all in the name of music and his love for it. History will always remember him as the vocal master of his time, but just as important, was his desire to share his gift and redefine "modesty". RIP and BRAVO Pavarotti. And what can you say about Tracy Chapman? How about "Stunning"...

I found this song 10+ years ago a love it. It’s such a beautiful song but it really resonates with me. My wife is Serbian and my Serbian is not great so quite often my communication is non-verbal but human and this song just nails that part of my life. Language is sometimes not needed - feelings work xxxx

“‘House of Gucci” what a great movie! The song that closes the movie is one that I wish everyone could hear. So hauntingly beautiful. The collaborating artist are so good together it brings tears to my eyes. Tracy Chapman, Pavoratti…what more could one ask for?

I met him in New York in 80 he was doing a show he was so kind and he talked to me like he had known me for ever I also met yuel Brenner and watch the king and I Mr Brenner was also a most gracious host he was very knowledgeable about Kentucky's horses and derby some of the opera is beautiful it tells a story in music I come from musical family only thing I don't like is what you can't understand head banging music is cheap than a shrink and easier to interpret

I watched The family of Gucci last nite and this was the ending song. I cried hard as did many in the theatres, no one left until the song was over. A beautiful duo

It's 2023.......I remember hearing Tracey back in the late 1980s. I've never seen this before.

Lucky Pavarotti, who never wrote a note of music...he was lucky to have a heavenly voice...to have the opportunity to sing with Tracy Chapman...he should be thankful joining her on stage...singing Tracy's Song, written by Tracy Chapman!

Two angels singing, they are out of this world

Saw House of Gucci recently. Always been a fan of Luciano Pavarotti and recognized his voice right away on the BGM. Always loved Tracy Chapman's voice but couldn't place that moving, mesmerizing voice right away. When I checked the end credits and saw her name, everything fell into place. Moved to tears. This performance feels like they are both sweet and powerful and truthful and fearfully brave at the same time.

So, I get the whole fast car thing with Luke Combs. And we all know Tracy Chapman deserves every award, but dude this is the most beautiful song!!! Right? Play it for your friends and children!

One of my favorite songs -- ever, and so beautifully performed by Chapman and Pavarotti. This is a classic.

Should I have started with her "beautiful voice", or her "stunning stage presence", and then added her beauty at the end? Or should a woman's beauty never be mentioned in your world? What makes this song so powerful at the end of Gucci is that after all the lies, betrayals, cruelty and self -destruction ,there is this song of total beauty and vulnerability

Such a beautifully odd pairing. I never thought anyone would be brave enough to sing one of her songs. But Pavarotti is not just anyone.

Yes he was. You can tell how honored Ms. Chapman was when Mr. Pavarotti started to sing her song. She couldn’t contain her beautiful smile. Luciano’s interpretation brought an extra depth to the song and Tracy loved it - a once in a lifetime experience for her.

So true....and if you've heard him sing literally ANY of the classic tenor arias, such as Nessun Dorma, it's obvious that he, like all great artists, is dialing back his instrument to match the emotion and feel of the work at hand instead of overwhelming it. It's beautifully done.

This powerful duet of Tracy and Luciano to "Baby Can I Hold You Tonight" brings an exceptional ending to a movie that was filled with love, sorrow, remorse, regret, and lost love that will never be replaced. Anyone who has seen this movie and has not been moved to tears when this song is sung at the end, is not human. "You can call me Signora Gucci" pretty much says it all.

My wife ended our 14 year marriage a few days ago. This hits so hard. Beautiful and crushing all at once.

agree Tango - when I first saw it a few years ago...I thought - nup - someone's pulling me leg...but then - wow.......This is right up there with the many duets that I've heard in my lifetime - ok - Marvin Gaye/Tammy Tyrell probably sit at the top, but man, there must be a cluster just below
