Every time I hear this beautiful Thumri, I get surprises like this is really out of this world…Beautiful voice and violin accompaniment… Hindustani Music is so divine and soulful.

Brought tears to my house

I have been looking for this song over a decade now. It first came to my attention in 2003. Being addicted with this since then. So deep and breathe-taking giving me the whole bible of displacement/detachment/feeling of losing something. I made that journey but I couldn't came out of it completely.

Listen to the original version of Babul Mora by KL Saigal. He sang it for the movie Street Singer, 1938. Its even more magical.👍🏼

The Hammering of the residency in Lucknow during 1857 is probably justified now, with the pain in this song which reverberates across centuries brings across a sense of fin.

Sharat Chowdhary i faced the same situation like u, since 2000, i am in craze of this song, very eddicted.

A different style indeed. It is good but the one rendered by Jagjit Singh and Chitra Singh is more soulful and made tears to roll.
