Lyrics:
Baba yetu, yetu uliye (Our, our Father who are)
Mbinguni yetu, yetu, amina (In heaven, our, our, amen)
Baba yetu, yetu, uliye (Our, our Father, who are)
Jina lako litukuzwe (Let's glorify your name)
Baba yetu, yetu uliye (Our, our Father who are)
Mbinguni yetu, yetu, amina (In heaven, our, our, amen)
Baba yetu, yetu, uliye (Our, our Father, who are)
Jina lako litukuzwe (Let's glorify your name)
Utupe leo chakula chetu (Give us today our food)
Tunachohitaji utusamehe (We need you to forgive us)
Makosa yetu, hey (Our errors, hey)
Kama nasi tunavyowasamehe (As we do forgive those)
Waliotukosea, usitutie (Who did us wrong, don't put us)
Katika majaribu, lakini (Into trials, but)
Utuokoe, na yule, milele na milele (Save us, with him, for ever and ever)
Ufalme wako ufike utakalo (Your kingdom come that it be)
Lifanyike duniani kama mbinguni, amina (done on earth as in heaven, amen)
Baba yetu, yetu uliye (Our, our Father who are)
Mbinguni yetu, yetu, amina (In heaven, our, our, amen)
Baba yetu, yetu, uliye (Our, our Father, who are)
Jina lako litukuzwe (Let's glorify your name)
Baba yetu, yetu uliye (Our, our Father who are)

What is the solo singer's lyrics at 1:41 in the video? They don't seem to be in the lyrics from the choral music.

Ufalme wako ufike utakalo (Your kingdom come that it be) Lifanyike duniani kama mbinguni, amina (done on earth as in heaven, amen) The soloist is doing an ad lib on the text while the chorus does a straightforward rendering. It's my favorite part of this video. This piece just seems to work better for me with all male voices than mixed chorus. The deeper male voices gives it a warmer richer sound that is missing on the mixed-voice versions.

@@ajokpatricia8021 , I'm not exactly sure why Christopher Tin chose this text for Civilizations IV which is a video game. The original video with mixed choir is very secular, strictly a tribute to man's achievements. Wouldn't be the first time a talented non-believing composer chose a sacred text which God then appropriated for His greater purposes.

@@MIKEGODSQUAD The main reason why they don't make sense when plainly translated is that the meaning behind the phrase or sentence isn't translated with the wording, I've been learning for 3 years now and just reading or hearing my partner say the phrases does not make sense until she translates the meaning behind it. Swahili also borrows some words from the Arabic language also, that mean different things to their literal translation.

Wow. I love this video for so many reasons. 1. The choir always manages to dress sharp and look good: they don't feel the need to wear eclectic trashy clothes like some groups do. 2. This demonstrates the happiness that comes when people learn about a good God. I dont known if the BYU choir is Christian, but this is the Lord's prayer and I think the shots are from a mission trip. 3. The music is simply phenomenal. I love the song and their portrayal of it.
