The 'Alaap' in the beginning of this beautifully sung ghazal, is so melodious and full of pathetic feeling. Apart from the amazingly sung ghazal, if we don't talk about guitar, tabla and harmonium, which are so beautifully played on, will be injustice. They are equally good. Appreciable. Wah! Kudos to the players.

You are simply amazing Manjari. What an outstanding voice, an outstanding vocals and an outstanding personality. Stay blessed always.

Oooh! What to say about respected Manjari, a thorough singer. God gifted her with melodious voice and she has done justice to the gift by working hard and working out for singing talent. I have heard many a ghazals beautifully sung by her. I have been hearing this ghazal 'baat karni mujhe mushkil kabhi aisi to na thi' for the last atleast a week.Though a 'misra' (a line) is changed with another line but that is immaterial before the beauty of singing the ghazal. And the 'Alaap' in the beginning, OMG, so beautiful, melodious and pathetic; it pooled my eyes many times. Apart from hearing the full ghazal, I heard only the 'Alaap' very many times. God bless her with good health and wellness and Maa Saraswati (who is already there) be always with her.

Enthralling and inspiring - excellent talaffuz and superb alankaars. The best part is that she is enjoying herself and whilst at it she explains just a tad bit of what she feels in the translation so that some of the audience members can enjoy the gazal the same way. She owns this gazal for sure. Kudos to her!

Another Malayali singer delights us with a beloved Bahadur Shah Zafar ghazal. To me, after Mehdi Hassan only Manjari and Gayathri Asokan from Kerala seem to do justice to the beauty of this ghazal, which has been sung by many other people too. Manjari's alankaars are all her own, and her Urdu pronunciation is without the slightest blemish. I love the instrumentalists too. The tabla, the guitar, and the harmonium are refined but subdued so as to support but not overwhelm the voice. What delightful adornments they've added! (A couple of places here have a slightly different wording from the original ghazal, as, for example, the substitution of "meri" for "ae dil," but to me those are very minor deviations).

Very well performed with all your emotions pouring in each notes,with exception of first stanza (antra) mismatched.Applause to the orchestra for creating a soulful ambience.

Beautifully delivered. Very difficult to sing so well when one cannot forget the sweet presentation originally by none other than great ghazal maestro Mehdi Hasan ji.

It was my first chance to listen to Madam Manjari. If she comes from Kerala then it is more necessary to appreciate her the way she presented this famous ghazal initially sung by late Mehdi Hasan sahib. It was seen on screen that she presented this six years before. But. Keeping her command over the raag n taal, I guess she has the ability she could sing with more expertise and sweet notes of this raag. Piano n guitar were not suitable for ghazal. Akhlaq sahib the renowned harmonium player and rythumist deserve reasonable acknowledgement. M Zafar - Wah Cantt, Pakistan
