Similarities between bahubali and his son Both Amarendra and Mahendra were not raised by their own mother. Both fall in love with a lady from Kuntala kingdom. Both fall in love at first sight when they witness them fighting with sword. Both of them were Shivudu at some point in their life. Both of them free Devasena from the chains and both of them chop the head of the person who tortures Devasena. Both of them make similar promises to their love. Amarendra promises Devasena to bring back kattappa safely whereas Mahendra promises Avantika to bring back Devasena safely. Both of them save Bhallaldeva’s honour just before the interval scene in both part 1 and 2. The people of Mahishmati shout Bahubali in both the scenes. Both of them save their mother from an obstacle while walking bare foot with a stick and fire bowl to complete the ritual.

That ship song flying part is imagination of dev Sena because when you have your loved one near you even a ship sailing in waters will fly in clouds with golden horses just like beautiful dreams.

It's actually a Vimana ,an ancient flying vehicle from Hindu texts and Sanskrit epics. This one, specifically, resembles the Shakuna Vimana. A boat with hinged wings that allow it to soar.

Most songs in all Indian films are imaginative sequences. If the Western audience had this information in advance, they'd realise why songs pop up without connection to the story, unlike a few songs that push the story ahead and they can enjoy the songs better.

That's the impressions I got. It is done in such a way that seeing it as being real to the characters isn't hard to believe either. I had similar thought thinking it's a dream...but..is it 😂.

@@TheHeroClass 🥺 Please stop. Don't! Why does religion have to come here? We don't have physical proof of any such vimanas. While I'm completely open to the concept of the existence of such advanced aircrafts and weapons, we should not be jumping on everything with assumptions and claim it to be a fact.

I have seen lot of reactions about this movie but out of those reactions you guys are the only one who understands the reason of chain fight in the climax.

Baahubali series is an emotion to Indians. Highest grossing Indian film till date. It changed Indian cinema forever. Fortunate to be living in the era of SS Rajamouli's craftsmanship. 🙇‍♂

The flying Ship scene was a dream sequence. Not Real. Absolutely loved this watch along ❤. Keep going guys!. Indian Cinema has a lot of Gems.

Bahubali 1 budget = 28 million dollar Bahubali 2 budget = 37 million dollar RRR budget = 50 million dollar but because of pandemic 70 million dollar Rajamouli's next project ( jungle adventure ) = 100 million dollar ( some inside leaks)

anyone who's wondering why he had to act cool with a weapon before dying, it's not because he wanted to act cool its because in ancient India anyone who was a Kshatriya(Ruling/warrior Clan) wasn't supposed to die without a weapon in their hand, else it's disgraceful for their identity.

I'm 100% convinced that this is how a great God of War movie should be made.

@@Bharatverse308 Can't tell, Rajamoili once said in an interview that he wants "Mahabharata" to be the culmination of his decades of film-making experience and the biggest spectacle the Indian film industry has ever seen (imagine the battlefield segment from Bahubali 1 but somehow 10x larger in scale and scope). Judging by these big promises and Rajamouli's heavy determination with perfectionism, its gonna be a long time waiting until we can even see a release date.

@51:08 the most important cultural thing you missed is... Bahubali's blood on the white stone in the climax. It was meant to be a prayer form, offering his blood to the God Shiva

Bahubali son is named after god called shiva (also known as Rudra) by his mother who raised him . They believe in him so you will see that theme in music because he is the god of belief for those people where he was grown.god is helping the person named after him against evil so music you hear Rudra . Also the era where movie shown people followed lord shiva in that region .Some one asked this.

Ship sailing is the dream sequence, its not a new concept in indian cinema. How will u know if its a dream sequence? If the background noise echoes and fades away and builds up with echoes, before the start of the song this pattern is visible.

Just so you know - a buddy of mine in Pune told me that the cinema he went to for BOTH of these filmi was PACKED, and that people where cheering & applauding throughout. ALSO... people would buy tix for 2 or 3 consecutive showings so they could REALLY get the experience. Every time I go to India I go to cinemas because it's AMAZING. Might I recommend "iSmart Shankar", Ram Charan in "Bruce Lee The Fighter" (NOT a Bruce lee ripoff, trust me!), "Kurukshetra" and the INSANELY creepy Japanese classic "Onibaba"?

I bet there are lots of religious and historical references, but Rajamouli is also a great modern cinema director so you can see many LION KING in it too. Just like RRR has a lot of 70/80's action movies references like Rambo, Schwarzenegger and Chuck Norris stuff.

Just to state the obvious. There was a 2 yrs of gap between the 2 movies. So for those who saw the first one in theaters had to wait a looong time to know 'Why was Bahubali killed by Kattapa? That itself had created such a buzz and everyone was so eagerly waiting for the sequel, to an extent that it was torturous.

For your next Indian movie reaction, I recommend you to watch 'Kaithi (2019)' and 'Vikram (2022)' both are Tamil language films from Kollywood film industry. Watch Kaithi first and after that watch Vikram because both are part of the same cinematic universe. Yep, like MCU and DCEU in Hollywood, Tamil film industry now has a cinematic universe too. We call it LCU - Lokesh Cinematic Universe, and it consists of these two movies 'Kaithi' (2019) and 'Vikram' (2022).
