B0B: fly any battery on your Mavic Mini

B0B is a very simple way to fly your Mavic Mini without the DJI genuine battery but with the telemetry of voltage available on the RC. B0B is not a battery, it's rather a cheap platform to experiment with any battery you wish.
B0B is able to communicate with the ESC board of the drone giving it just enough information to be accepted at boot and to monitor the voltage during the flight.

esse placa e muito interessante ,sou leigo nisso ,gostaria de fazer uma placa dessa para o meu mini ,mas vejo que e difícil a leitura do diagrama por não ter conhecimento o diagrama mostra as inteligaçoes mas vejo que fica descentralizado os tamanhos dos componentes os diagramas no pci ja sao bem ajustados ,seria bom se tivesse esse diagrama já no tamanho certo para leigos tentarem imprimir seria mais correto ,isso e minha dificuldade mas parabéns pelo projeto isso e muito bom para quem não tem renda para obter uma original e se souberem fazer ótimo

You mention a 3s battery which is 11.1volts - what is the maximum voltage battery the mini can use safely? And if you can use a 3s what is its top speed and flight time? Can bigger rotors be used

The mini is limited to 9.05V above this it rises an error at ESC board level. But booting it on 2S then hotswapping a 3S batt works fine. B0B can handle up to 16V only if the proper regulator is installed (standard B0Bs only handle 12V - 2S) In terms of speed and flight time, I never tried myself in 3S. This is highly depending upon the mass and capacity of the cells...

thats iinetresting but can it decrease the total weight also so you can add some strobe light but be under 249grams ? that would be a benefit also. thanks

Is this possible to create a additional 2 battery's attatched to the outside of the mavic mini that is also connected to the 2 battery's inside the mavic mini with "bob".... this would hypothetically almost double the flight time to 40+ minutes?

Yes an external connector can be soldered on B0B to install, in complement to the internal cells an additionnal batt in //. However due to the extra mass to carry this will not double the flight time !

It is enough to use high-quality 18650s like VTC6 30A, I flew them in quite windy weather for 35 minutes. Достаточно качественных 18650 банок типа VTC6 30A, летал на таких в довольно ветреную погоду 35 минут.

do you get better battery time with this. I hate how the manufacturer batteries discharge when the drone is not being used.

Yes I do win around 5 minutes. And the battery stays charged when disconnected from B0B.

Hi Felx I`m very interested how can I the flying time of my mavic Mini to encrease. Standard battery are 2400 mAh 17,28 Wh bzw. normal voltage 7,2 Vdc. Max charge voltage ==> 8,4 Volt. ==> intelegent fly battery from DJI Is this also possible with battery type: INR18650-35E (3500mAh) Samsung SDI3 Need it here the BOB which "B0B is able to communicate with the ESC board of the drone giving it just enough information to be accepted at boot and to monitor the voltage during the flight." or can I use the origional ESC board of the drone from DJI It would be nice when you send me a response to my question. @@aeropic31 Hello again Additional question: I am currently using the new DJI Mini 2 with the old batteries from the DJI Mavic Mini which fit into the DJI Mini 2. Likewise the original batteries of the DJI Mini 2 The current data of the DJI Mini 2 are as follows: a) Firmware of the flight device: 02/01/0300 b) Firmware remote control: 01.00.01.19 c) App-Fly Safe database: 01.00.01.19 d) App version: 1.3.0 Can I still use the DJI Mini 2 when updating a new firmware with the modified batteries from BoB? I would like you to put together the entire package as you told me in the reply. "I can offer B0B in different forms, depending on your requirements: a) finished B0B tested in flight + connector for a batt + some 3D- printed parts (locking + centering) b) The Sony VTC6 3000mAh are also an excellent candidate. They're a few grams heavier than the SAMSUNG, but they end up at 101.4 grams (all contain B0B, cells, 3D printed parts ...) which keeps the Mini right below the 250 gram limit! With these cells, 30 minutes of flight time can be achieved. c) Charger for battery (does this protect against overcharging of the battery) or a display of the current state of charge. d) Does the charger switch off when the battery is fully charged 100 percent ?? Unfortunately ther is no room inside the Mini battery hole to fit a kind of spring case for 18650. B0B is maybe the only option so far to install 18650 soldered in pack of 2 batteries with the swapable electronics...
